ok has anyone done any of this before thanks

I have a mkii ca20 powered car 87 if that matters

q1: I know for a fact that my trans mount insulator or w/e the term for it is dead can I replace it with a trans mount from a s13 and or find a new bushing for it?

q2: I currently have a r180 in the rear of my car from another mkii I am in the near future putting in a r200, with the diff-mount changed can I put in a r200 from a mki turbo car or would the end of the diff not mount up with the drive line? or would I have to use a r200 out of a se 87-88?

I had another one but I can't remember right now thanks for the input

EDIT: I remember now is the clutch adjustable? if so how? I didn't find anything in the search just clutch fork and the fsm had nothing......

IIRC S13 ones are the same since people use the Nismo KA Mount with swapping to KAs with CA Transmission.

I know that the nismo motor mounts are the same but i was wondering about the tranny mounts

Yes, the tranny mounts are the same.

The diff mount from any R200-equipped S12 will work.

cool thanks

ok thanks but will the diff itself (from a turbo) mount up to the driveline?

The flange might be different than your R180 flange. I don't know for sure but the only way to know is to measure them before you swap the rear diffs. You'll also need R200 half-shafts.

As the diagram shows, it only allows adjustement for free-play and pedal hieght.

If the clutch is slipping, there's a very good chance it's fkd.

yeah I looked at those diagrams and was hoping that that wasn't the answer....and explains why I saw nothing when I searched clutch adjustment or anything with similar meanings.....well at least I get paid soon and I don't owe anybody money lol so first thing on the list is clutch kit

the factory offset for 1987 s12 USDM model<--- if that makes a difference? I'm looking at buying the work meister sp1's in a 16x8 and trying to decide on what offset. I've seen pics around on the forum and best i can come up with is +26 for the front and +13 for the rear. They will have to be special ordered to so this is something that i need to know the first go around.

Depending on the tyre sizes you're planning on using, those offsets should work well.

id go lower offset personally. +15 front, -5 rear

It depends on the tire.

I've got Diamond racing wheels.  15x7 +12ET and with 215/60/15 it rubbed all over, I had to pull and flare the rears.  (please note that my tires are larger than stock as well.

The good thing...What wheel gap?

and here's the general idea of what it looks like with the flares

Keep in mind that when you go wider than stock you will need to change the offset accordingly.
Stock may be +26mm, but that's on a 6" rim. You should measure the clearance on the backside with the wheel and tire combo you intend to go with.
I can't stress enough....TEWT FIT, TEST FIT, TEST FIT. Most places will do this for free because they want to sell you something.

rageMar 29, 2009, 11:25 pm · #17

or just measure, its not that hard

IggyEGuanaMar 30, 2009, 2:57 am · #18

mine are 15x7 0 front, 15x8 -10 rear

x2  somehow you managed to make 60 series tires look good haha but yeah you gotta lose the wing
5sixS12eight2Mar 31, 2009, 4:50 am · #21

The shop that i plan on getting the rims from this is what we came up with, keep in mind i plane on lowering it with megan coilover kit too:
16x8+26 front 16x8+13 rear my boy Wes who called WORK for me told me that +13 offset for the rear is going to be aggresive i plan on running 205/50 for the front and 225/50 for the rears.

IndecisiveMar 31, 2009, 6:19 pm · #22

Thanks guys, no worries, the wing is long gone...I had a phase..heh.

15X7 -3 on mine with 195-50-15 sits flush in the rear and 1/4" out in the front.

Indy is that project full white that you painted flat black??

IndecisiveApr 2, 2009, 5:35 am · #24

haha yes alex, that is indeed project full white that has been painted flat black.

My design concept went a bit south...what can I say?  heh.
