they need to be in australia as i live in brisbane
can be 10 or 12mm ring gear holes as i have a clutch pack r200 with 10mm holes and an s13 viscous with 12mm holes

4.11 or 3.9
Import R31\'s have 3.9, and some have 4\'s and up. But hard to come by as import, and old so you rarely see import R31 stuff these days. I think the best that came in an R200 for the Aust. market was 3.7, in some later Z31\'s I think. Neb might know a good source for the import stuff. Try www.r31skylineclub.com[/a] or www.skylineaustralia.com[/a]. You\'ll probably have to pay if you do find one, unfortunately.
cheers jerry.
i am actually wondering weather i would notice the difference between a 3.7 to a 3.9, i am using 195/50/15\'s, with the gazelle diff i am about 10klms out at 100, ie. 100 or speedo = 90klms approx

...but then you lose your driveability. Consider this hypothetical situation...
Two equal gearboxes with identical ratios. One is paired to a VG, on to a CA. From there you mate them both to 4.11\'s. The VG fly\'s off the line (lol, funny wording). and gets to top end in a hurry, then slams into a hypothetical wall..just cant go any faster, the gears hold it back. The CA (being less powerful) takes off pretty quick, but not as fast as the VG. The CA runs out of power before hitting top end.
Now, put 3.90\'s in both cars.
Your VG takes off still pretty quick, but falls short of top end, and therefore wont overwork anything. the CA takes off like a SLOW ASS HONDA (not really, just making a point), and never even gets close to top speed (less your at the salt flats!), and just bogs thru all the gears.
Now the VG has 390\'s, and the CA has 411\'s. The VG can get almost to top speed, but not quite, and is still streetable. The CA, is made driveable, and feels sporty because the taller gears.
Hopefully, I havent confused you. These cars were not made for hot-rodders, etc. I don\'t know who nissan was targeting, as the 300ZX was the Sports car, and the Sentra was your ECONO box, w/ the 200 falling in between. But you get the idea..i hope?
I do agree tho, id love 4.11\'s!! Except on highway runs.

Also remember that the VG30E has a much lower redline, too ...
I dunno, with the way these cars are geared, I\'m thinking about finding a 3.9 gear for my turbo car. 1st gear is extremely short, Bart is shifting at the drag strip before he even gets to the 60\' mark. 1st is almost unuseable with any real amount of power...
the difference between 4.11s and 3.9s is pretty small ... not worth cracking open a pumpkin, maybe 150 rpm at the most.
Keep in mind, this wasn\'t done as a \"preformance\" option. They gave the 4 bangers 4.11 gears to make them accelerate at all. The VG with its extra torque, didn\'t \"need\" the 4.11s.
I\'d love a set of 3.55s or even 3.23s.
First gear is pointless in these cars.
with a 4:1 first gear and a 4.11:1 diff ... It\'s like trying to launch a really fast Semi.

No it doesn\'t. 6000, same as all the CA\'s.

Sure about that? I seem to recall the CA had a 6500-6800RPM limit...
