my friend has a 97 hardbody with 37k miles on it which he got for about 4k which by the way is crazy, but he hates the automatic but, he doesnt know what tranny codes will match up with his trucks motor, i saw some talk about ka24de and tranny's in here and was wondering what 5speed will work, and if any of you know someone willing to be an auto tranny for a ka24de gimme a holla and ill let you know

go to a yard find the same body style pickup in the yard with the same motor and you should be able to use a manual if it has one.. now if its the same ka24de as the 240sx have then any tranny from and 89-94 240sx would work..
you will also need a 5 speed ecu and clutch pedal assembly
Don't think you'd need the 5 speed ecu. I've always heard you can use a auto ecu with a five speed, but not the other way around, since the computer controls some of the auto tranny's functions...
