LOL...My uncle just bought a 91 dodge colt 200GT, which I think is turbo but I have not looked under the hood yet. Anywho, I've tried googling "dodge colt 200GT" which gives me crap for forums or websites with any good info on it. Although I did find a gut that swaped in a JDM Mitisu 4 cyclinder turbochagred engine of some sort, I think the ones that came in DSMs.

The car idles but craps out when you press on the gas...anyone have some ideas?

That's the main Colt/Mirage forum around.

As for the idling problem, the Mitsu 4G63/4G61/4G15/etc have notoriously bad ISC (idle speed control) motors. When the coils inside the ISC die out, the idle starts bouncing around without ever resting, or just the car just dies altogether. That's where I'd start first. It could be something related to an intake leak or a fuel starvation problem though.

yes its a 4G61. I had the privilage to ressurect one from the junkyard 8)

$300 got it running and just started doing burnouts in it at 25psi of boost.
It used to smoke but we think we freed a ringland w/ that crazy boost.

Still runs after 2yrs of abuse

This should be a fun little car for my uncle.

He is not really into modifing cars but I'll change all that....

Yep, the 4G63 engine found in FWD and AWD turbo DSM's (2.0L instead of the Mirage/Colt 1.8L) will bolt right in. The 4G61 also has a smaller turbo, I think a 13A or some other dinky thing (4G63 hasa 14B in most cases, and JDM sometimes has a 16G).

Dan, the old Talon Temple is remembered in moments like this, eh?
