Alright, I know there's a few 200's out there that are off road, but even the holy N/A FJ20E, which I've seen the sight for, seems to have little in the way of suspension info. I had talked to Bart about getting a set of his rear coilovers, and he said that he lowers the bottom shock mounting point to keep the spring from popping off. I also read somewhere that Koni's (forget which model) are made to handle a 2" drop.
There. The backround's out of the way. Now, I was thinking of going with a hybrid of several systems to try to make the car a nice rallycross, and later on competetion rally car without sacrificing daily driveability. I've got a few ideas, and this is the other reason I want to keep my 200hp aspirations at a low budget. Anyway, I was thinking of running a 10in or so (want a slight rise in height, but I'm not sure of the correct spring length) spring, with an increased rate, and a ground control adjustable spring perch. Now, the other thing I was wondering is wether the Koni's are engineered for a 2" adjustment in both directions, or just lowering. If it's only down, then I was thinking of making two sets of lower shock mounts, one with in the stock location for rally setups, and a bar across secured in place with coter keys. This way, I take out two coter keys, pull out the pin, put the pin in the other and put the keys in, adjust the perch, and I 'm ready for the other world! I'll try to diagram my thoughts. If this will work, I may see if Bart would be willing to cook a set up. As always, I love constructive critisism! :-P

Well to start does anybody have the stock spring length??? If you get the stock spring length with a higher rate, it will most likely give you the raise you are looking for...

Those Koni's you refer to would only allow for a lowered car. They can't do both directions. It's one or the other. Z31 rear shocks would probably work well for you as they are 1" longer. Also, keep in mind you don't want to raise the car too much. Just like lowering the car creates negative camber in the rear, raising it any significant amount will create positive camber. That's not a good thing. Honestly, the stock ride height would be just right for rally. Just stiffen it up a bit, but not too much.
I thought it over, and I think that you're right that a stock sized, uprated spring is just the ticket. I also thought about the Z31 shocks, and If I installed them, I'd have an inch of adjustability Up and sown.
