most likely MK.I mine's 3/86 and it's a mk.I

black valve cover? mk.I
silver valve cover? mk.II

no aerofoil? mk.I
aerofoil? mk.II

12 lens taillights(3 red, 3 amber per light)? mk.I
nice looking taillights? MK.II

reverse lights in bumper? mk.I
reverse lights in taillights? mk.II

You should specify here "Fibreglass aerofoil", since the MKI also came with a aerofoil.

he said he has a ca20e, only the turbos got the mk.I aerofoil.

Dan, not all Mk1 turbocars have foam ones, 86 like Bart's looks like 84 and 85 but with fiberglass.

With a date like 8/85 I would take a guess that it is a MKI, the only way to be sure is to take some pictures, and pst them. Specific pictures of the ECU, Front, side, back, rear axle, motor, and dash (drivers side, and passengers)

Me too, but that was a swap. Very easy:)

I know that. But he was making a generalization that if it has a spoiler at all, it has to be a MKII. I was just stating that MKI's also had the option of a spoiler, so if you see a 200SX with a spoiler that doesn't instantly make it a MKII.

Hey Dan, you bring up an interesting thought in my mind tho, I get a couple catalogs for my Z, an the Victoria British one has a Z history year-by-year, that has any change made each year. I can do this for our cars with some contribution., Between Bart and I we have most if not all the design changes seen from '84-86, I'm sure it can be done through Mk II. What do you think? We could stick it on the info page off the main page (there's already a great place there for it, see?).

umm yeah.... it certanly was not added aftermarket.... 1 owner car never wrecked....

Are you sure it is the fiberglass wing, and not the foam one that says turbo on the side, and are you sure that you don't have the MKI body kit??

sidewaysdate not saved · #14

yeah my 84 has the turbo foam wing and they are completely different. as far as the ground effects go it is missing some on the front but it looks completely different than my 84
