Broken Throttle Cable

yep the curse lives on... :guns:

out of no where i go for the gas last night and its not there i stop and immediatley knew what it was :idea:

I use a electrical connector and crimper to limp me home (not a bad riggin' if i could say so myslef)

so now i have an issue...I need a VG30E Throttle cable for a proper fix.
Where can i go about getting one? how does the KA Throttle cable compare to the VG.

I searched and saw it was like 4" longer or something than the CA.

Easiest thing would be to get one from Nissan. I got one for my CA18 a few years back, and it wasn't all that expensive, and it came with the housing, and the plastic firewall groument in place...so there was no guess work.
You could always use bike brake cable and rig it up to work......but going with the right one from Nissan would give you the least headaches.

One for a CA should easily be able to be modified...may not look the best, but it should link together properly...

I called 15+ autoparts stores/suppliers all discontinued!
had the bright idea to try to weld the wire together and it just burned :devil:

Now the throttle sticks all the time with my rigged setup. :neutral:

I am going to a bikeshop on the way to the junkyard today. I believe they should be able to find me something to help me out.

The junkyard has like the last 88 200SX SE V6 in Pennsylvania i swear.
The engine is still in it but the dude on the phone didnt know if the throttle cable was still on it...i guess i'll give it a whirl :!:

Have you tried Nismo Parts? I just plugged in that part number you listed, and the part popped up with a yellow dot @ $18.77 and it says it will ship in 4-10 days....the yellow dot means.......

but i just got back from the junkyard w/ my $20 overpriced throttle cable :disgust:

got some other freebees though to make up for it like...2 vents, popup switch.

i eyed up (2) 300ZX's that i will get some parts from then.
such as : ecu, mafs, o2 housing, mint seats :love:
