Installing a New turbo

Depends on the flange. Different turbos have different bolt patterns. Most turbos will not fit our stock manifolds. Adapter plates can be fabbed up or machined. OR, you can try to have a custom exhaust manifold made that will fit turbos with only that flange. But I'm not the best person for this subject. There are others around here that are EXPERTS because they have actually done this stuff. But look around and use the "Search" option.
Actually you pretty much covered all the bases there, Nemesis. I would only add to it that the manifold side is one of two things to consider...
... the O2 housing off the turbine housing (and leading to your exhaust downpipe before the cat) must also be taken into consideration. A non-T2 family turbocharger will more than likely require a custom tubular O2 housing to lead to your OEM downpipe.
Oh yea, I forgot that part. I was tired so I didn't think... But I never think anyway.
