Okay, I just had a look at a s12 with a CA18ET. The previous owner had the head removed and I saw he had the same problem as I had on my old bluebird turbo (also CA18ET and a CA20)

There's a rubberhose coming from the intakemanifold which goes down to this box next to the oilfilter.. I have no idea what it does or why it's even there.. looks like it either has oil in it or air, most probably the first. I think it's some sort of a U-bend which is longer on one end.

Anyways, here's a pic of the intake with the broken end still mounted

The hose cracked when I barely "touched" it when i tried to remove it. Stupid thing.. I guess Nissan hasn't got a part's # on this hose? It looks very special, so I don't think it's something you can get from a regular workshop. (its diameter is bigger on one end aswell...)

Anyone got any idea what to do? Those of you who have had the intake removed from the bottom end must know about this problem.. the hose easely breaks on old motors :(

Do you have a picture showing where the other side connects??

The box thing that the hose connects to by the oil filter is called an " Oil Seperator" and is part of the PCV system. I just got a new one for mine from Nissan a few months ago, and was pretty cheap. Just go to Nissan and have them pull up the pics on their system, and you can point it out for them.
This will be your best bet since that hose is 2 different diameters on each end.

ya its the oil seperator to pcv pipe... its needs to be a dealer itiem cause each end of the pipe has a different diameter.. i think it cost me like 8bucks for a new one

oh, if anyone find the part# or whatever for this, or the direct name something, I'd be happy to know it since my contact at nissan lives miles away.. I can only phone him...

The U.S. part number for that hose for CA18ET is 11828-17F01, and the Nissan FAST program calls it "Hose-Blow By, B"
May have a different part # in your country.

Here it is at Nismo Parts...........

While you have it all stripped down, Clean out the Oil separator box and pipes as they get full of gunk and stuff to make sure it'll work afterwards!

Better yet just get a new oil seperator box from Nissan, their not too much.......you'll never get the old one fully cleaned out as it's got mesh inside it, and 20 years of oil/ carbon deposits.
