Hey guys,

I was wondering is it ok to use the radiator from the volvo 740 since im using the intercooler. my stock radiator wont let the intercooler fit. Also is it ok if i use a rad from a non turbo volvo there the same thing?

I used a volvo 740 intercooler in my car and the rad would have fit right in (it was shot) so I used a rad out of my 1980 toyota celica and it fit nicely, the only problem was the lower rad output was on the wrong side.

Hey i replied to your PM I forgot to give you this link too.

It's a write-up from Zman on how to put one in. If you have A/C you wont need the short pipe he needed to make becuase you'll already have it.

If you can, then get a non turbo radiator. The turbo radiator has 2 connectors on one side that supplyes the turbo with water, I think. These would have to be plugged. The non turbo rad dosn't have these.

Also, since i just did the radiator conversion i had just bought a brand new radiator for my ca18et and ive only used it for about a month. cost me 175$ if anyone needs it 120$ shipped.

If it helps I could post pics of how I piped in my volvo intercooler, you need about ten miles of rad hose and a hundred hose clamps but it works great.

does anyone know what that clip on that lil pipe of metal that goes connected to the top radiator hose is for? i unplugged it and the car ran fine. whats this for?

It's for the A/C I think. It's a temp sensor so the condensor fan will kick on at a certain tempature or something
