I have an 87 200sx with a ca20 and an automatic. I have a 300zx turbo parts car lined up. I want to swap the z31 motor and standard trans into the 200sx. I was wondering what I should do for the clutch pedal and master cylander and slave cylander ect. I live in canada so there are no vg30e cars up here, but there are plenty of standard 4 cylander cars around. Can those pedals be used with the vg30et trans? What do you guys think??

The pedals are all the same for the 4 and 6 cyl cars.

You are going to have some clearance issues with the crossover pipe for the turbo and the firewall. This is definatly not a weekend swap.

You will need a front sump oil pan!!!!! The 300zx pans are rear sump pans. The Maxima pans are front sump.

You will also need the exhaust manifolds from an S12 VG30E. Also, I'm not certain that the Z31 intake manifold will fit without hitting the hood or firewall.

As for the pedals, since you're an auto and converting to manual, you might actually be able to use the pedals from the Z31, though it might be easier to snag some out of a 4cyl manual S12 in a junkyard. You can definitely use the clutch slave cylinder from the Z31, probably the master cylinder as well.

Is the motor you have from a turbo Z31? I notice you mention using pedals with the VG30ET trans. If so, then like Randy said, you'll need the oil pan off of an S12 VG30E, and you'll need to tap it for the turbo lines. Also, on my last S12, I fitted an '87 Z31 turbo tranny, and I had to modify my tranny tunnel with a large hammer to get it to fit. I also had to modify my tranny mount and had to cut the shifter hole in the car as well since the shifter sat about 1 inch further back.
