Hey guys I need some help with the panel work on the car.

When I got the car the drivers side guard ( thats the RH side ) was crimped under by the drivers door, I think the RH corner tapped something and was pushed back a couple of cm's. The guard and bonnet ( hood ) have both been replaced and all seem to line up ok. The only fly in the ointment is the headlights. They are way way wrong. How do I adjust them so the front end looks smooth again?

In a related job the High beam doesn't work at all. What should I check first? :wall:

Other than that It's almost ready for the road. I can't wait to drive this Beast. The family dubed it "The Scarlet Harlet" ;)

It's hard to say what needs to be adjusted without seeing it.

As far as the high beems not working I'd start with the stalk on the column. Those are notorious for going bad.

Agreed on both accounts, there is a thread around here that tells you how to fix the stalk (if that is the problem) I'll see if I can find it, but I think it is in this section.

Thanks for the advice!

On the electrical front it sounds like I'll have to break out the multimeter and the soldering iron. :-?

As far as the headlight position goes, the LH light is half a cm to far forward and the RH light is almost that much to far back. It's the panel gap between the bonnet and the rear edge of the lights that looks wrong. Also the front edge of the lights are just a but too far down with the lights down.

350...thats insane!! The fingers can just be bent back (if this is the problem) abd taking out the stalk, taking it apart, fixing it, putting it back together, and putting is back in the car is about 30-45 minutes. 85% off all the S12 have, do, or will have this problem so I imagine yours is the same...
