Does all hatchback cem factory turbos ?
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Sep 2004" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
Best I can tell, you're asking if all 200SX hatchbacks are turbos, and the answer is no, but all turbos are hatchbacks. There are 84-88 CA20E, 84-86 CA18ET (turbo) and 87-88 VG30E (V6) hatchbacks in the United States.
And welcome to the Club.
Check that... The US also saw A FEW FJ20E/Ts. Although there are probably more vintage Ferrari race cars in the US that FJ S12 Silvias. But dont take my word on that.
FJ never hit the U.S. market...
If you find an FJ20 powered S12 in North America, it's because someone imported it. Most are because U.S. Soldiers were allowed to bring one vehicle back after overseas missions, so a few brought back S12's.
That worked the other way, too. When my parents and I were stationed in Spain when I was little, the Navy actually shipped over the 1973 Pinto we had at the time. The amazing thing is that the Pinto survived 3 years of the harsh road conditions of Andalusia, and came back to the States when Dad's ship changed ports back to Charleston, SC in '79.
OMG.
I just imagined myself trying to buy another s12 from an old man and its fj powered.:) hah! it would be even crazier if the old man knew about the motor..
omg what a find that would be! An FJ20ET Notchback with OEM intercooler option??? WOW

Nothing like finding the rarest model...8)
I found a weird s12 in the weekend eh this guy had hit a tree in it and wanted $500 nz for it he thought it was a 2L so i went to have a look hoping so hard that it would be fj20 but it turned out to be a ca18 non turbo carbed. It had the twin spark head etc but a stupid carb it was solid rear end and had very little features, no electric seats windows or mirors. I left rather quickly :)
It's one of the few s12's i'v seen here
