Hey, I'm about to buy a T2 frome someone here and it has over 100k miles on it but just in case, I would like to rebuild it. I want to do it myself. Anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit for the stock T2, and how hard is it to rebuild a turbo? I need this info ASAP because I dont know how long he will hold it for me.

By the way, the turbo is still good, I just wana rebuild it to try and make it last longer.

this isn't for a T2, but it should be a pretty good guide line

Very informative... I really need the rebuild kit though. I went to the website that he mentioned and all they have are 16B and 14B??? I dont think those are anything near a T2. So please help me there!

how r u going to balance the shaft and wheels together to make sure they are goof cause if they are off and you rebuild the turbo it will just tear itself apart in no time

Ummm. balancing, like you would do with a wheel? If so I can probably call up a few local shops to see if they do that stuff. I think a desil shop might do that. (I live down the road from Truck Country and I think they can do stuff with turbos) I also live near a shop called "Import Minded" so I think they might be able to help me out too. I still need info about rebuild kits!!!!

truck shop you should try as for the imoprt shop STEER CLEAR. If the truck shop doesn`t in houser balence find out where they go to get them done. Leave the import shop for when you need headlights, that all most of them are good at.

Leave the import shop for when you need headlights

Aint that the truth!!! It's too bad though, but there's really not any import "speed shops" around here. The import shops all just basically sell ricer stuff (fart cans, intakes, dubs, and stickers), and don't know much about anything else...

No, this one is actually a shop, not a store. www.importminded.com They install anything from replacement suspension to a full coil-over upgrade and Jackson Superchargers. And deal strictly with imported crap... err, cars... but thanks for the truck shop info. Although I still need the rebuild kit info... (where to get one)

I can have you're turbo rebuilt. Probably plus goodies, I can remachine the housing's to incorporate a larger wheel with tighter clearances for a little more power or rebuild back to factory specs.

i am very reasonable too.

Give me a call if you are interested.
