RIM SIZE(OFFSET): 16X7.0(+38 ) 16X8.0(+38 )
would I need anything for those?

how is this offset
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Sep 2004" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
um....yes..most likely to roll your fenders..heh
on a 240sx, a 12+offset will make the rim flush with a 7" width.
I think 3+ would be way too shallow for our cars and would stick out the fenders.
edit:...err......lemme try something.... 8)
edit2: bahhaha...stupid smilies...
your rears will be fine if it's 38+ offset. mine's around 40+ with a 8" rim in the rear.
the fronts you'll need a 5mm - 8mm spacer and you WILL need to buy longer studs.
Hey Indy, post an angled pic of the wheel in the back so we can see how it looks. Please
I'm not sure what you mean
can you find me an example?
Like at an angle where we can see the lip of your wheel, anything not straight on
oh..okay yea.

np...I know the woes of getting rims on..hehe
if I had 100% confirmed info like i"m givingyou now, it would've been a hell of a lot easier for me..haha

I think he already answered that ...
yes, if you read my 2nd edit that'st he info y ou'll need.
to figure out the clearance for the front..the best thing to do is to test mount them and then measure how close it is to the spring...if it's rubbing already..then well...estimate lol
but it should be no more than 10mm with that offset and rim width.
Indy, don't forget to take your cell phone off your rim before you drive away...*lol*
no worries...it's my buddys' cell fone..not mine ;) ahhaha
I know I have asked a few wheel questions about offset, but I finally found some cheap konigs it has the the correct bolt pattern 4x114.3 they are 15x7 with an offset of 38 for front and rear. It says they will fit a 240sx, I have read on here if it will fit a 240 it will fit our cars. But I am just making sure.
Thanks
Bailey
rears are fine.
fronts you will have clearance problems
I run approximately 29+ - 26+ offset on my 17x7 and just get good clearance.
the stock s13 rim is like ours. 15x6 et35+, that 38+ is going the wrong way. thicker rim = lower offset.
remember, just cause it doesn't hit the strut when you mount it doesn't mean it's okay. you need at least 6mm of spacing between strut and tire.
Could I use a spacer to fix the front clearance problem.....
yes, but you'll need longer wheel studs
Where can some of those......
yes, but you'll need longer wheel studs
Do I just use some universal ones.............. or are their some that are made for our cars even tho I doubt it I still had too ask :werd:
Nismo wheel studs if you can't find anything else.
nobody in my area could get me cheaper ones that would fit for sure. so I had to pay the $$ and get the Nismo ones.
the 50mm studs should be fine. got a pack of 10 for $60usd
make sure you get it for the right model tho.
Hey Indy these http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CP&Product_Code=40222-RS01510
What do I do about spacers.........
yep, those are the ones....actually I got 60mm, but those were too long and I had to cut off like 5-7mm anyways lol..
you can go to a wheel shop and buy generic spacers that aren't hub-centric.
the problem with these is that they won't sit perfectly center, so you'll need to find a way to mount them so they're centered. I use lil pieces of tape to adjust where the spacer sits.
OR, you could get ones that fit properly but those will set you back around $75 for one.
if you're going that route, I suggest not getting the nismo studs and getting something like an H&R spacer that has studs on it.
http://www.performanceproducts.com/ProductPage.aspx?ProductName=DRM+Series+Wheel+Spacers&productid=102107&producttype=20
these are the DRM series spacers. these SHOULD work, but I can't say for 100% sure because I've never tried it. These ones sell for $76ish dollars for one usually, but you can get the $50 per pair ones and get the nismo studs...actually...that would probably be cheaper, but also more work because you have to take the hub/rotor off.
it also depends on how thick you need the spacers. what I'm doing is using two spacers on each wheel to get my 14mm of clearance. that's not suggested, and I've had some wheel shake but that could be because I'm not using hub centric rings. and I have a leaking rack.
the hub diameter is 4 1/4" if I remember correctly. possibly a little bit bigger, but only by like a few MM.
I hope this helps.
I think that these konigs that I am looking at are to much trouble, having too buy all these parts too get them too work. I think I am going too keep looking for some with the perfect offset and all that stuff. I had found a set of watanabe's a few months back and they were a perfect fit and they were really cheap I kick my self every day because I should have bought them, you helped me then too Indy THANKS.
heh np.
you may still need longer studs tho.
with my aftermarket rims, on the rear I just get 7 turns. people say 6 turns is the minimum you want.
the rear studs are 42mm and the fronts are shorter at 35mm
BUT, the rear studs for IRS may work on the front
If you're lucky, you may be able to get stock REAR wheel studs for an IRS and use them on the front. they're only a buck or two per stud too.
don't quote me on that though. again, I only THINK the teeth on the studs is the same, I don't know for sure.
