ok. on the left side of the car directly underneath the windsheild wiper motor there is a valve or regulator of some sort on the ca20e engine. it has two hosses coming off of it one from the top and one directly underneath it. the hose underneath the valve conects to another regulator, i believe that sits on the back side and right between the intake and head. i need to know where the other hose plugs into. i did an head gasket job and that label came off when i was putting it all back together. any help would be apreciated. hope i explained myself well enough. :dontknow:
vacume hose?

Well, this isn't a 2.0 car, but does anything look familiar?

the only thing I can really think of is the vacuum pump ...
Is everything else allready connected? Can always search for things disconnected and this will narrow it down. I have that same solinoid if its the same one you are talking about. I just don't have any picks of it. If it were emissions related, you could just look on the under hood label (If you have one). I will go out a little later to take a look and maybe I can describe where it goes (No camara so I can't just take a picture).
Well, I had a look under the hood. The vacuum thing you are talking about, is it sitting on the left side (From in front of the car looking into the engine bay) just behind the strut tower under the wiper motor? If it is, then mine is different. I only have the one solinoid with the vacuum line going to it from the metal line that runs across the fire wall and uses a really small vacuum line. My car is an 86, what year is yours? My solinoid I am refereing to has an electrical connector on it. Am I in the right area?
looking at mr200s pic, it is on the left side and i believe that u have the same thing i got over there mr200
200sxxe......i believe that u have what i am talking about as well. i have a 87 model xe. but all it has is two hoses (rubber) and an electrical connector to it. i dont have any metal hossing. but if u have the two rubber hoses i need to know where the top one leads to.
thanks for all ur trouble guys. i jus know how sensitive these engines are if one little thing like this isnt hooked up

It goes to the metal line that runs at the top of the fire wall near wear the break booster gets its vacuum from. Thats where mine goes anyways. On mine, the nipple for the hose sticks out towards the front of the car. You can see the line somewhat on Mr200's car. It runs from around the booster across the fire wall to the left side. The hookup for the hose is on the side near where the brake booster connects to the metal line.
Ok, left side ... zooming in ;)

Any closer?
I'll have a look at mine later this afternoon, and try to give you some insight when I get home...
Well, thats not what mine has. The thingy I was talking about is a lot smaller. Wish I could take a picture of it, if anything to see if its what halofive is talking about.
halofive
Is it a round metal thing ?
ok its exactly what mr200 has in the first pic. but he has a different engine and it may go some where else on his as where mine may go. but it looks just like that cylinder thing mounted right on the fender well where the spring is bolted down too. excuse my grammer at that, im an aspiring mechanic not an aspiring english teacher. ;) . but its exactly that thing, what eva it is i dont know. but im scared that if its not hooked up it may give me problems. once agian i need to know where the top hose hooks up too. thanks for all ur help guys. ur effert doesnt go unnoticed
did everyone forget about me. well either way i finally got it to start up. but now i cant keep it cranked up. it runs for like 2 seconds and dies on me. does anyone have any idea what this may be. it seems to smell like its running rich. but i dont really know. i still need to know where that hose goes as well. ive about had it wit this car. :wall:
have a look at my engine bay pic and tell if you can see it,Go to home page and have a look at page 2 .

but the problem your having sounds like A problem I had I'm still thinking about some more.
Looking at pics, mine goes to the back of the engine, to somewhere on the intake manifold I think.
Someone else better help, I've nuked most of my emissions crap, and none of my vacuum lines go where they're supposed to anymore.
Just look around the back of the motor for a vacuum line that's not connected to anything, and I'll sift through the vacuum diagrams for a ca20e.
At some point tonight I should be around a ca20e car, so I'll try and track it down.
Cause I can't make heads or f*cking tails of this *lol*

u have a right driver. and i dont see that thing im talking about. uve got stuff i dont have. i feel left out for some reson. but if u can help wit the non stay crank thing it would be of great help. but i wonder if the cam shaft is jus a little off will it mess me up like that. im going to go out there and readjust it to see.
i feel u mr200. i have the same diagram and it made my head spin. i looked at it like an hour really trying to figure out what its talking about. and i would really appreciate u doing that. thank u so much
well i have come to realize that its the bottom hose i need to know about. sorry guys. but it shouldnt be that bad for i still dont have my answer. but its not the top one now its the bottom.
someone pllzzz holla back at me about this i really need to know. i was going to take it to a mechanic but i have new found faith so this will be a big asset to the project
