I was driving down the road tonight and the car all of a sudden died. I checked a whole bunch of stuff. Eventually I used a noid light and found that the injectors we're not pulsing.
Long story short reading a lot in this forum andhaving a little experience in injector problems I have found that there are three main cuases for this.
Bad wiring (unlikely becuase it's all four)
ECU
Some kind box underneath the ECU

Is this the box?
No fuel injector pulse

my car did this and when i bought it it wasnt running.. does your fuel pump turn on? cause my injectors would not pulse and i thought i had a fuel pump issue but more looking and i realized that there was no power to my computer... :lame:
fuel pump runs fine. Fuel system is pressurized. Is that box pictured for the injectors or what? How can I test it?
Well here's what I know so far anyway
fuse for engine control is good
fuel pump runs
fuel system is pressurized
Fuel injectors do not recieve signal to fire.
I have not checked ignition to see if it fires.
I'm not trying to rush or anything but I really need to know what that thing is. i can't find anything on it in the fast system or in the manual.
Mine had what sounds like the same problem, it turned out to be the fuse link runs from the battery to the ECU. then bit of wire was ok but the connecter was broken and kept cutting out. Try checking it for continuity while wigging the connections. I think theres 2 fuse links that come off the battery (not the ones behined the battery)so it sould be easy to find.
aww man I'm gonna feel real stupid if that's the problem. I'll try that later
I couldnt work it out for 2 weeks every time i checked the wire it seemed fine i had to move it around to find the problem with the connection. I didnt even buy a new fuse link i just fixed the connection at the end and its been ok for over a year now.
have you run the ECU self diagnostic? A failed crank angle sensor will affect your spark and the injectors will not pulse either.
honest_jim's suggestion has yeilded positive results. It appears that the connectors on the one part of the battery are flakey.
I should have run the diagnostics and I would've found my ECU wasn't getting power
it sounds like to me that it could be the PCM(Power Control Module). That unit controls the fuel injectors pulse for each cylinder. it went out on mine about 2 months ago. i ran diagnostics and misfire on cyl. number 2 popped up. So i replaced the plugs, wires and still it misfired. so i decided to dig in a little deeper. it was the PCM. The same thing happened on my 1994 Ford T-Bird Police interceptor. The PCM runs about $200. Hope that helps. Good luck.
i paid $5 for a replacement pcm at a junkyard. i guess i need to go snatch the rest up before they scrap them
Alrigth wat the hell si that box under teh ECU is that the PCM and woudl that cause you car not to idle properly
