Allright so my stock CA20 throttle cable wont reach on the SR. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to use i have tried a 240 throttle cable its to small, and a stanza throttle cable is to wayyy to big.
Any suggestions.

cut the stanza to the desired length and use that

How do i put that ball thing back on the end of it? Just use some small clamps?
yes use those heavy duty ones and you will be set
thats wierd!? The 240sx cable is like 3" longer then the S12 one, and shoulda reached? oh well, hope u get yer car goin soon tho
CA20 cable worked fine with my sr20det. The SR bracket to hold the speedo cable on the SR inlet manifold was the problem, it was about an inch to far back, where the speedo cable bolted in to it. I replaced this bracket with one I got off a JDM 90's Nissan Laurel I was lucky enough to find at a U pull yard, and it was all fine.
You could easily make or adapt a bracket to suit.

What year 240 are you talking i know the newer 240 cables are longer like92+ i think. But the first generation no i dont think so
nissan stopped production on the 89-90 throttle cable, so new ones will all be the 91-94 spec cable, which means it is longer and yes, will reach.

Yaa harder to find the newer ones. And expensive from the dealer.

here is the 91 cable and S12 throttle cable, you can see the difference, they only LOOK similar cuz I had pulled out the s12 cable some.

And if u really want a cable, you are in luck, I have a parts S13 outside, and I dont need the throttle cable, you want it? its yours. please send umm..... $20? PM me if u want it.

Was jsut about to PM you but then i found a turbo 200 at the wreckers. Just so everyone knows a turbo cable is longer and does the trick thanks every one for the help!
