why the 8 spark plug wires?
I will be parting the engine out so I'm learning a good amount about it already,
but if the ca18et has 2 overhead cams shouldnt it be a ca18det??? Nevermind..
Didnt know the ca18et had dual overhead cams and 8 spark plug wires

oh and its in(was in) a 85 hatchback
I think all of the CA series engines had 8 plugs in them. The CA20E in my Stanza does, anyway. Probably to help with emissions or something of that sort.
The ca18et is a 8 valve SOHC.....and some countries they were sold have only 4 spark plugs instead of 8. The 8 plug versions are for emisions.
nope not all ca's had 8 plugs
ca18et
ca=engine code
18=1.8L
e=electronic fi
t= turbo
if there was a (d) then it would be dual overhead cam
ca18et has one cam and 8 valves, using rocker arms!
hope it helps
now that i think about it,( i only looked at it for a second) you guys are right, its not a dohc damn I feel stupid....
