ive got tubes in my engine everywhere but they dont lead to anything.. its pretty ****ed up , the engine still runs as usual tho, i bought this car two weeks ago and discovered this yesterday, is this a problem?

Tubes? do you mean vacuum lines? If they are vacuum lines it probably means somebody bypassed their emissions controls to get some more power out of their car or they had a failed part they didn't want to replace so they just went around it. I would suggest that you try and find where these tubes used to go to give yourself a better idea of what your up against.

that item you have circled is used to adjust the idle on a mk1 car. Later models switched to a different design.

What's the manufacture date on your car mine was made in 01/86.

wow that pic is old... I can't believe it's been almost a year since I got the car.

later models have that built into the iaa valve i thinks thats what its called is located right near the tube that comes off the main turbo to tb pipe and goes into the side of the intake manifold
