So are these cars safe to run on unleaded or will that flog out the valve seats?

No problem man That's the fist question I asked myself when I bought mine.

If it has a cat and/or O2 sensor, then its supposed to run unleaded anyways. The leaded gas scews those things up. And I don't think Nissan would run 2 different heads, one with different seats than another. So you should be safe.

i have ran about 20galloons of leaeded race gas in the past 6months and have had no probs... my o2 is still good and well i dont have a cat so thats not a prob either

Thats what I was always told, leaded gas screws up the cat and O2. Could just be a wise tale. I do know that leaded gas isn't good for cats, it plugs them up.

It will burn out the O2 sensor, but not as fast as they'd like you to believe. We used to run about a 50/50 mix of 110 race gas and Amoco 93 in the race car, and never had any problems...
