Hey all....does anyone else have this problem with there CA20???
Say i've been driving for 40mins....I will park somewhere to say get smokes and then I'll get back in and start up my car. The temp gauge goes to the half way point (whilst when i'm driving its only 1/4) and sputters a bit from the exaughst end...then if I take off in first it makes terrible spluttering and thu thu thu thu thu thud sounds.
After a while of driving it goes back to normal...but u can still hear slight sputters if the rev's are less than 2,500rpm.
WHAT IS IT?!?!
Also, does anyone elses exaughst sound like a tractors at idle? i have a 2inch exaughst.
Is this a vaccum problem?

That one is news to me. I would definitely check the vacuum lines, and possibly the coils could also be causing your problem. other than that possibly an O2, but those symptos arte rather weird. does it sound like a tractor when it is cold too??
hugh, man remember that you are putting a new motor in soon, so who cares, as long as the engine runs, its ok. Its spluttering prob from bad fuel or plugs, etc. Check all ya hoses are on, but apart from that, it wont be much else. CA20e's are so pickey with all their little gadgets, vacume hoses, etc, so think of it as ya GF, some days she's fine, others she's awsome! get a fresh tank on motion lotion and some fuel injector cleaner.........i wouldnt go spending heaps of dosh on the motor because it will all be a waste when the new one arrives!
True dat Sheppo!
Alex: It only sounds like a tractor when its warmed up and/or the idle is at 3/4,000 when its cold.
