I bought s13 coilovers, hubs, and lower control arms lastnight. will the lower control arm bolt up to the s12 or do I need to use the s12 control arm. also is there anything else I need besides tierod adaters?

use the S12 lower control arm and a custom tie rod from A1. http://www.club-s12.org/board/showthread.php?t=6698 check out this post.

you will also need s13 brakes and brake lines.

is there a reason I can't use the s13 lower control arm

i have done this swap, and i used the s12 control arm, but i read that it is shorter then the s13 so if the s13 fits i would use that one for sure, because you would be able to run more neg camber up front with it, as for the tie rod end adapters i was the first one to order a set after jasterM5 had them made, and they are very!!!!! nice, high quality, i would recomend them to EVERYONE doing this swap, so try the s13 control arm and post if it fits i would love to know! :bomb:

Can't you get about 3 degrees from camber plates anyway? There's not much of a point in running more than that in a MacPherson strut car anyway...

well you could run three degrees adn have your wheels 1 inch or whatever further to the outsides if the control arms work

I don't know enough about suspension geometry to get into it, I guess I just get a little nervous when you start messing with that kinda stuff. You stick the lower control arm out an inch, but the strut stays in the same place. Just doesn't seem like a good idea to me, but like I said I'm far from an expert on suspension geometry.
