I would like to race my CA20E at the local track, meanwhile i want to do some simple performance upgrades, but i am not interested in swapping engines.(wont pass in the series i want to race in) so is there any simple upgrades that can be done for a few extra hp.
thanks

Racing my CA20E
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Aug 2004" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
Intake, exhaust and header all of these would have to be custom made because there is no one at the moment making any parts for the CA20E. You can also add a KA24E throttle body.
Doesn't Pace Setter make a header for the Ca20e in the 200sx. I think JCwhitney sells it.
It was discontinued by pacesetter some time ago. Unless someone had some old stock you will not be able to find one.
get an agressive cam regrind at Colt Cams or my favorite to be Delta cams. They have a VERY nice grind, even more agressive then the Colt. Great for those mechanical lifters people, even my ca20et is getting one. :lick:
Ka24e TB is always a good route to go.
Get rid of that old stock airbox and junk. Get a nice air filter or a K&N or something to help it breathe.
Pipe an air duct to bring fresh air to the filter. Makes the car breathe so much better. Trust me.
Good suspension is always nice. Check the susension forums for that good news.
2.25 or 2.5" exhaust always works too. Remove that cat if you dont have to pass emissions. Or just get a bolt on made somewhere. I made one and sold it on the forums to someone. I cant remember. Ill show you a pic of it. Its rough and all, but it works.

Lets see what else.
Nice exhaust works. I have a 2.5" dual tip, seen here.

There are more ways
Those are all for now.

Damn, that sucks. I saw the listing a couple months ago, damn wish people would keep there sites up to date.

What series are you going to be racing in that won't allow update/backdate for engine swaps?
