Hi all, I have access to methenol/alcahol mix and was wondering if I poured some into the petrol tank what would happen (upside/downsides)
It wont be alot about 300mL to 1/4 tank CA18ET

thanks

If I understand it correctly I believe methanol or alchohol based fuels require a different air to fuel ratio than gasoline. So probably wouldn't be a good idea to run it in a car designed for gasoline. If i'm wrong about this someone correct me.

i agree..sorta..I have a 91 Chevy Lumina, its designed for BOTH Meth, and gas..weird..i get hella performance from the meth, but mileage from the gas..(only way to get meth here is to pour in bottles of rubbing alcohol, lol!)..BUT i do know this, methanol burns hotter! if the motor wasnt designed for it, DONT use it..get some 110 octane or sumthin..just a thought.

The computer voice in your car will say "auto destruct sequence activated"

I don't think having .3L in a 1/4 tank will destroy your car but continually using a high concentration of it will rot out every fuel line in the car. If you use enough methanol you will destroy the engine (hotter temp)

10% methanol to gasoline concentration is acceptable according the owner's manual.
