See the outlined thingamabob? does anyone know what it is, i know the EGR is to the left, but what is this thingy? reason being, my vaccuum line (i assume thats what it is) is broken from there, and the whole unit needs replaced. Trust me when i say it needs replaced, i am the king of backyard repairs, and this one is F'ked!

Not sure what its called, but it apears to be part of the EGR system. Its probably some kind of back pressure valve of some sort that only allows vacuum to the EGR valve when needed under load. I will have a look in my chilton and see if its in there and what it is.
I took a pic out of my FSM and this is what I found
..DUH..never thought to look in the exploded view pages..(i have the FSM too)
Look like vacume switching valves of some kind to me.
