R200 Lsd
DOH! That site is for 4x4\'s basically that is the same R200. But it\'s in the front instead of the rear.
I don\'t know if there is a difference between that and ours other than LSD though.
Hmm well being listed as a front LSD centre means that it must be different yeah? Otherwise why bother listing it as front, who knows really though...it looks alot less bulky than my factory R200 clutch pack to.
I don\'t see why it wouldn\'t work. It\'s an r200 so in \"thery\" it might.
I\'m going to try to put a viscous from a z32 in a week or so. I had it sitting around for a two years so, what the hell. Just gotta take them apart and see if I can swap the insides.
As long as it wasn\'t from a Z32 Twin Turbo, yes you can. However, I\'m not sure if your halfshafts will work with the viscous type.
Back on topic - I don\'t see why it wouldn\'t work either. As long as it\'s for the right ring gear bolt size, I don\'t see that there would be a problem.
Sorry to revive an old dead topic but.. I have a nissan 4x4, and they call that a front LSD just because our trucks have a front r200, so we are just using the 300z\'s rear lsd in our front diff. Hope this helps clear up any confusion and thanks for all the great info. Im considering picking up a 84-85 200sx right now.

That clears up all the merkyness from before...and it gives new live to the LSD...now where to get $450 US....AAHHHH...
And welcome to the club alaskanwolf Cool
Now did those Nissan 4x4s use the 10mm ring gear bolt or the 12mm?
Well it says it fits 86.5 and up D21s so I checked my Nismo catalog and it looks like this unit is for the 12mm ring gear bolts. That means it will only work with all V6 S12s and also in Turbo models that were built from 5/86 and up. 4/86 and below Turbo models use 10mm ring gear bolts so this will not work.
Just swap in the V6\'s rear end, 3.90:1, and slap the lsd in and away you go. Or the 300zx if no V6 rears are available. Please correct me if this isn\'t possible.
hay im thinkin of getting R200 lsd for my old gazelle but i have no idea wat cars do they come off.??????
i went to few wrecks and they have no idea wat is r200 diff hehe
if any one got 1 for sale pm me thanks

Well up here we got them on the Z31. Now we are in the proces of making this work, but the Q45 up to 93 had a R200 VLSD. after that it had the same as the Z32 which is the R32. The R230 could probably be modified, but it is unknown how difficult it would be. Then you could also look at the Pathfinder, or other Nissan 4X4\'s for the front diff. or a Gazelle turbo from about part way through the 86 model year. This is because they used the 12mm ring gear rather than the 10mm...Cool
