:spy: Just a new guy looking to get started. I just bought a 85 with 119,000 miles on it the timing belt and water pump have been replaced. Any ideas on were to start as far as manteince and aftermarket performence.

Hahahaha ... you said aftermarket.

Sad thing is, for us, there isn't one.

1st things first, do a tune up - plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, distributor cap ,coils and rotor (all available from any parts store)

Then do a compression test.

Address any suspension problems (springs and shocks)

If everything checks out, then it's time to start modding.

Cold air intake, make your own, we'll show you how.

Manual boost controller ... we do those too.

Intercooler ... that you'll have to buy, but we can tell you what wrecked cars to be looking for.

Welcome to the club, it's nice to see another turbo car joining the fold.

Wellcome to the club. First learn how to drive and handle the S12 - be gentle with her, and then surf in the Club S12 to get knowledge about what mods you can have in your car. Everything step by step!

Easier said than done my friend... Very few of us have done any sort of swap. it really would be easier to do a T25 and FMIC. But then you need a better fuel pump, bigger fuel rails and injectors to get the most out of the T25's boost potential.

most everything that you guys suggested so far can all be done at once on a saturday. So there is no need for these "steps" He will just need a new fix a lot quicker then. Thats why I like to add my mods one at a time. It makes it cheaper for me. By the time I need more power than the cheap mods will give me I am ready to sell the car and get a new project.
