Ok, I might not know much, but I do know that you shouldn't be able to move your engine 2 inches by hand - side to side and front to back.

so it's mount time ... well, engine insulator blah blah blah

My question before I get some more shitty rubber ones, has anyone found poly or better?

I don't care about noise, shake ... etc.

I made a soild one for One Equals Two's car. Its just a 1/4" thick 2" wide piece of steel bent to fit and it has a guset welded in. I made it to clear a large compressor housing not because the original one was broken.

A lot of people get stock mounts then fill them with window urethane.

so drain the oil and fill it with urethane instead?

anyone know what Nissan wants for mounts?

http://www.thepaty.plus.com/8v/howto/polymounts.htm found a write up on it.

I'm probably going to solidly mount the CA18ET into the Opel. Just get a couple of thick steel brackets welded up and then bolt it right to the frame. Yeah, it will probably vibrate, but then it's a 0% loss in torque to the wheels from engine movement. Maximum power transfer vs. comfort... hmm

Thanks Magnum ... I will give this a go for sure. Can't be any worse than what's in there.

Dan, just put rubber mounts between your seat rails and the floor ;)

I guess no one makes a ca18et motor plate eh?
