Ok, trying to fit my new turbo ... problem is, I'm not entirely such which lines are which. I'm 99% sure, but I want to know fo sho.

Ok, thick one coming off t-bo = oil return

fitting coming out of driver's side of the engine block = oil feed

coming off the back driver's side of the block, there are two lines, one above the other.

top = coolant send?

bottom = return?

Yes I think that is right...if the coolant lines were opposite I think it could recycle hot coolant through the turbo, and it would be inneffective. 8)

you've got it. the coolant lines might be swapped, but those are both coolant lines (with the banjo fittings)

matt, every turbo car i've ever worked on has had water feed on top, return on bottom for water.

mkII ca18et have water feeds on the side. for sure. top and bottom are the oil feed and drain. the water feeds are banjo fittings and the oil inlet is a tapered pipe thread. oil outlet (on the t2) is a hose nipple (gravity drain).

actually, your right. the more i thought about that water usually flows from side to side. Bah, thats what I get for writing posts quick on lunch break.
