Today i got into my car and the back of my seat broke!!! I have only been able to find 1 200sx around here in the junkyards and the seats in it are trashed also!! I was wondering if seats from other nissans would be a direct bolt in? This is my only car so I really need help quick!! :dontknow:
This happened to me when i first got my car, i leaned back a little hard and the weakass seat broke, so i used the back seat folded down with a soccer ball underneith it to brace my seat for about a month, Then i eventually bolted a chunk of metal to the part where it had cracked, that held up for a while, but it broke, sooooooo. I took the seat out of my car and welded that bitch together with an acytaline torch, basically brazed it and it seems to hold up really well.
yeah mine is REALLY BUSTED though and i cant weld and jusy really need to get a new seat bad!!! since the rest of it was coming apart really bad anyway (the springs were broken and the foam was ripped)!
I dont know about direct bolt in but any seat will fit with some mods to it.
If your wrecker has an S12 in it, then just grab a seat from a different nissan and haul it over to the S12 in the yard. Then you can test fit it there. If everything looks like it lines up more or less then you are good to go. Otherwise you can only guess what will work.
According to "berna" the RS13 seats fit, I have a set of these in the garage, and Il try to test if they fit tomorrow. The plan is to change the crapy S12 seats for these, since I cant drive more then 50km with the S12 seats, before my back hurts like hell (And I have never had problems with my back before)
I find if I turn the little lumbar support thing it works great for my back.
I don't feel much of a difference with the lumbar support or not...but I keep it up anyways..heh.
alright guys for anybody who needs to know i went to the junkyard today.... anyway without much work at all the seats from a 90 sentra bolt right to our sliders and they look pretty good and don't feel all that bad.... especially for 40 bucks lol

what part of it broke? i'll be taking my seats apart soon, and i'm just wondering if there's something in there that i'll have to be extra careful with so i don't end up with busted seats
the metal plate that connects the tube part of the frame to the spot where it hinges they changed this in 86 though im almost positive... i know for a fact its different in 87 (a lot stronger)!!
the s13, s14, z31, z32, b13 seats will all bolt in with at least 3 bolts... a drill, nut, bolt, and washers and that'll be the 4th! BAM, problem solved.
I have got 2 spare front seats from FJ20e and if you want you could have em, But...
I live in Guernsey Channel Islands otherwise they are all yours.
aparently all year sentra seats will fit. I went to modacar.com and went under sentra and all the seats said they'd fit all years of sentras... so logically if one year fit, they all should.
