Ok... I took the fuel rail off my DET (as I have a new one with 720cc GReddy Injectors in it) and mounted it to my CA18ET motor in my '84 200SX along with the stock 370cc injectors. All was going great until I was getting my 200sx running right today after getting it back together finally and noticed the fuel rail leaking at the top where the injector pressure fits to the rail. =( The CA18ET manifold has no mount points for the DET rail, so I just had it chillin in there (yeah dumb I know). Anyway, its fine when cold, but once it heated up, the orings started leaking... =( I had to have the car towed home after I went to get gas (it was fine for hte drive up there, but then I smelled fuel from the drive across the street from PepBoys to the gas station to fill up). Thoughts? The DET manifold won't bolt to the ET head right? =( As its got two passages, not just 1 for each cylinder due to the butterfly setup right? argh... I'm guessing I'm going to have to fab a bracket of some kind to mount the rail to the manifold. Only injector #4 was leaking... #1, 2, & 3 were perfectly fine, but #4 was pissing fuel all over the manifold in the back. =( Argh...

Yah you will have to fab something so that the whole unit doesn't move too much, but it is possible that your o ring for cyl. 4 is faulty, and you may need a new one...fortunately not expensive...from a hardware store at least...8)

I have just made one of these too, Im just waiting for another set of CA18DET injectors to be delivered as I managed to brake one of the first set I got!

Berna is the ca18det fuel regulator OK for the ca18et engine? Im guessing it is as its still one your fuel rail

Does that work? Does it hold pressure correctly? That's more or less what I was thinking of doing... just fabricating something like that. =)

It works but it runs a litle ritche u can use an smt5i to map it whit and it will run werrey good.

How hard was it to position correctly and weld the mounting tabs? I've got those bars you used sitting in my garage... just need to have them welded on like that!

Thanks,

I had an extra inlet manifold which I used to measure / position the injectors ect... on the fuel rail while I was making it. I think it might be a bit more tricky if you have to do it with the manifold still on the car.

How bad is it if it runs rich like that?
I mean can I drive the car like that for a while?

Per uses the car as an daily driver to work so the only problem so far is the fuel consumtion 1,4 liter /10km the CO2 is 9,9 hehe
