I getting ready to do the Ca18det engine swap(better handling than sr20det) and I can't find anyone who sells a Ca18det Clutch. The USA never got the 180sx and so there are no parts for it. I have the ca18et witch has 120Hp stock and putting ~165hp on a ca18et clutch could cause it to slip hard core. What should I do? Do I just try to find a ca18et performance clutch?(Hard to find also) Can someone please tell me a place that I can get it or tell me how else I can go about it. If I can't get a clutch then I will have to go with a SR20det(adds weight and higher center of gravity) or a 13bTT(Lot of work but can do)

Where the HELL do I get a ca18det clutch in N. America

Enjuku Racing has Spec clutches for the CA18DET. http://www.240sxparts.com/clutches.html
those look to be for a ka24de
nevermind I found it. It just didnt show up in the link you gave me. Thanks
Does anyone know were I can get a OE quality clutch. The stage 1-5 ones are very nice but Im only running ~165Hp and I dont need one that will hold 500Hp. If nothing else is available the $300 stage one will work but on my budget I was hoping to get one for more like 150-200.
The DET I believe was also sold in Japan. This means you could probably go to a transmission shop, and get them to get you the right parts...I don't have a clutch :(, so I don't really know, But I do know that for Toyota there are tranny places that will get stuff from Japan. 8) Now if only a bad clutch was my only rpoblem on the Celica...Stupid syncros...:(
Get somewhere to make you one, my SR20DET is running a modified Nissan Patrol clutch with a modified (750kg) nismo pressure plate, as long as somthing is available to fit (ie CA18ET or whatever) than getting something made up or modified should be a piece of cake. Mine only cost $280au with flywheel machine and throwout bearing and hasn't slipped yet.
Here in Australia we got an s13 Nissan EXA,(1988 to 1991 or something) which i'm pretty sure from memory was designed in Nissans California design section. This car came with a fwd ca18de. Wouldn't you have got this vehicle in north america also, (maybe under a different name)???
I have personally seen a fwd version of a ca18de fitted in a rear wheel drive configuration, (with the manifolds and engine mounts changed to the rwd config), and vice versa with a rwd ca18det fitted to a fwd configuration,(with the manifolds and engine mounts changed to a fwd config). They both mated up to the different gearboxes okay, So I believe that they are the same basic motor.
Therefore then if you did get a fwd version of the ca18de in North America, (though I do understand that different markets often get different motors), the fwd ca18de clutch should work on a rwd ca18det motor. You would need to compare it to your existing one to make sure, then order a heavy duty one.
I got a worn clutch for my sr20det and took it to a clutch reconditioning place. They reconditioned it and doubled the clamping pressure to 3000lb and supplied a new full face organic drive plate and throw out bearing for $190USD, which is the same as what Neb paid in Aus dollars, ($280).

That car was sold as a Nissan Pulsar NX SE here in North America. The specific year you would want is 1988. That was the highest power rating for a CA18DE.
Got to this link for all of your parts needs. It specifies what will work and what car to buy parts for the engine that will work/fit.
