best place is off the intake mani basically what i did was tap the plug i used for the pop off valve and got some 90degree brass elbow that i was able to attach to the end of my boost sending tube..

anywhere else guys? my plug is really hard and i dont have anything to drill through it at the moment.

On the side of the intake (facing the struttower) there is a hose, dont remember where it leads. Anyway, get a T-section pipe (You usualy get one with a boostgauge set) and cut the hose of, attach the T-section and to that both the hose to the boostgauge and the part of the hose that was sitting there to begin with.

I hope I made sence :P

... I made a picture instead ;P

i put mine in the easiest spot..its been tested at the local turbo shop and is correct to a tenth of a pnd......its located right above the brake booster there is a t like fitting with a rubber plug on one open end ..i tapped right there and poof there it is..apperently the hose its connected to is a direct line to manifold :: i have a cheesy cam but can take pics of any of the mods on my car for anyone who needs help

Since I cant remember what the hose is for, I wouldnt dare to say, but a T-connector isnt that expensive.

the hose runs to that carbon canister crap. hey can u take a pic of the line ur talking about by the brake booster?

zectordate not saved · #10

Well, in that case... throw the carbon canister away and put the boost hose by itself on the intake thingy

There are dual trottle wires in that car bart_j, is the "extra" one for the cruise controll or something? (I only have one wire, and no cruise controll)

I have one similar to Bart's on top of the mani where the pov use to be, except the 1" plug I bought already had a threaded 1/4" hole in the top so all I had to do was buy a 90 degree elbow with barb to screw into it.
Also, another place to to get a signal from is up along the fire wall there is a block where a vac line from the brake booster, and the big hose that leads from the intake mani from right behind the pov location. Both of theese lines hook onto this block. On that block on the firewall there is aother small nipple that isn't being used, and has a cap on it....atleast on mine anyways....this is where I get my bov signal from, and could be used for boost gauge signal.

Yah the second wire on the TB is for the Cruise control. The one closest to the TB is Throttle, and the one furthest is Cruise. 8)

ya keith that second location is also good but i personally would want my boost signal as close to the mani as possible....

Keithdate not saved · #16

True...........................I was just throwing it out there because it seems to work pretty well for my bov :mike:

I ran my boost gauge off the plug Keith mentioned. I ran it before off a T fitting I stuck in off the manifold directly, but that piece of crap plastic thing broke when I tried to put the hose on it for the third time. So, I just popped off the plug and ran it there.

I got the same identical reading from both locations.
