I was wondering if anybody knows if 240sx injectors or any other injectors fit the ca20e? I'm doin a buildup on a budget and am just wonderin!! Thanks Guys!
different injectors!

240sx injectors are side feed ours are top feed, so no they will not work and they are the same cc's as ours anyway
So if i use any kind of top feed injector will it work with our engine or what?
how are you going to tune it
I'm going to be building a ca20et and just wanted a little bit bigger of injectoers because i was going to be running the torbo on the stock motor till my rebuit motor is finished, but after i will be transfering everything to that motor...
yes, but if you run larger injectors, the ECU will treat them as the same little 270s the car came with, so you'll run pig rich constantly.
You'll need a fuel computer like an SAFC, but I don't think the ca20es electronics will work well, if at all with one.
let the ca20et king speak :mike: I installed Venom Python Top feed 330cc injectors into my ca20et. I ran rich ALL the time. To the point I couldnt even drive the car cause it felt like I was trying to tow a 10ton truck behind me. The ECU (ca18et) ecu dosent know how to treat larger injectors and the ca20e ecu...well i dont think it even knows what injectors are. CA20E ecu's are useless. Ca18et ecu's at least know whatfuel maps are. Your best bet. Try to get a S-AFC or something that works with the ca18et ecu or whatever other ppl have used. If you are using the ca20e ecu for youe ca20et....i would just quit the project now cause you want get anyewhere without blowing your engine up.

So that means even if i just run a small amount of boost say 5psi my stock ca20e internals couldn't even handle that? i know people who run 7-8psi on stock internals with a honda...
The problem with the CA20 stuff is that it is super old school. The MAF is a flap based pentiometer unit. This is what tells the ECU how much fuel to deliver. This system is absolutely terrible especially if you want to run boost. The reaon the CA18ET has a Hot wire MAF that measures volume of the intake air is obvious. This method is much more accurate and allows for better fueling for lots of incoming air. The only way to make a CA20ET that is worth the trouble is the way that YellowPreludeR did it. That is by swapping in all CA18ET electronics and wiring harnesses. Then after you do that you need to beef up the internals the rods and pistons if you want to run boost. The CA20 rods are like toothpicks. They are longer than the CA18ET rods do to the longer stroke and this alone makes them weaker. I myself would just build up at CA18ET or get a CA18DET. Sure the CA20ET is unique and probably makes great power when done right but for most of us it is too time consuming or cost prohibative. I salute Alex since he did this but I really wouldn't recommend it to others unless they are willing to go through a hell of a lot of work and spend a great deal of money.

They can'y bee that bad of a constructed motor because i run a 50hp shot of nitrous (and have been for awhile) and the engine is holding together just great! I think that if it would hold up to the instant power if nitrous that it would hold up to the gradual power of boost?!?
its the constant forcing of power on the rods and bearings that make them go pop. You dont go shooting a 50shot every stoplight and left and right turn you go on. I am always ragging out about 5+psi on the engine around every corner. I love it. I have a new engine and its broken in, so im going to use it for what I paid for it. If you think the ca20e rods are strong enough for boost, ill send you a free rod and a picture of the rods I have in my car now. Youll understand why I made the $743 decision.
well damn that really blows.. thanks for all the input i may try it just to see how long it lasts muahaha :evillaug: lol then just swap in my rebuilt engine as it will be done soon anyway and see how it goes from there!
ka24e injectors are top feed anf you will need a custom rail and regulator to use them they are also 270cc... i willl have the rail done shortly
Well then VG33ER it is...or maybe something crazier... 8)
