AUSSIE S12 Drivers

I know there's a few Australian S12 drivers on this forum, I am trying to build a list of them, so can you's PM me, email me, add me to your MSN list, either way i am searching for all you guys. Especially the Victorian drivers, because i would love to go on a S12 cruize, not just a Nissan Cruise.

Im in Adelaide though, but i agree with your idea about getting a list of all Australian S12's. I see a couple of S12's on the roads here in Adelaide, hopefully some of them are members here, maybe this thread will help bring us all together.

South Australian S12 driver here.....like castle i've seen a lot of S12's in good old Aderaide.....funny....when i bought it, no one was driving one, and then theres lots!

I have seen a Turbo S12 goin round Dark Silver over light silver (same colour as mine) with the 'HOOD' and it absolutly cains...
Also my freinds have seen a Light blueish one with a Front mount intercooler cruisin round.

my notch i will pick her up 2morw and it's fully power everything plus it's got an IRS set up and LSD diff..86 model
and the other 1 is a hatch 84 it's been in an accident... but it will b fixed 1 day and it will b 4 drag races..
can't wait!!!

G'day, i'm from Perth, WA (aus) i have a 1984 RPS12 (hatch) has had an engine conversion to a ca18det (i wrote the list of mods somewhere).

Plz'd to meet you all, really keen on swapping some info, mine;s off the road at the moment as i have a blown ringland, getting it back on the road (with another engine) shortly, hopefully with 5puk clutch, lightened flywheel and an FMIC all at the same time.

Any other people from Perth on here? i do know of one other bloke with same engine in his, but he has an '85 Gazelle with IRS. I'll try n get him on here.

I'm hoping to find another '84 notchback (did they come in to aus in '84? and did they have a live axle?) would like to stick an FJ20et in that for drag purposes, just a dream for now.

(is there an aussie-tech thread anywhere?, everything seems have a ca18et in it)

In oz it seems that the notch was only available in 1984, they all seem to be upmarket full power option models (my 3 all were) and cos they are a 1984 model with a CA20E they all have live axles.
My 1984 coupe has an IRS but thats the result of a cheap IRS and cheap LSD convesion by me rather than a search for handling.
There is a bit of OZ tech around here and there, more on the old forum prolly.

Your car looks the goods mate, cheers for the info on Notchbacks, live axle is actually what i'm after, as i wanted to use a Notchback for drag purposes, see how the diff holds up, if not it'd probly be a Hilux with LSD diff conversion.

Dunno if you found the info on my car, i bought it with ca18det conversion (done by some 50yo bloke as his ca20e died in the ass) and just drove it around with stock S13 ca18det and manual for about 3 weeks, til the turbo bit the dust and blew a ringland in the process. Since have acquired and fitted a number of parts (fitted them as i didn't know ringland was blown til i got new turbo, manifold, zorst n all that on there *shit eh*) I've got the S13 front suspension conversion lined up, but can't really do that til its driving again (so it can get aligned) Did you do this conversion aswell? I saw someone on here had done it, aswell as a bloke in Sydney from PF. Also looking to bolt in a Bluebird Series 3 diff with discs on the end, anyone know if they are direct bolt in, or are the mounts in the wrong place (i beleive its the same diff) I want to do this so i can keep my stock diff on the side, incase of receiving a defect notice someday (as Bluey diff will have a mechanical-LSD built for it)

I don't think the bluebird live axle will bolt in due to the mounts but most ppl just swap the axles and brakes cos internally they are the same as the later model 910s. The diff is a H190, same as S3 bluebird and although not common in LSD form is supposed to be pretty strong still, esp when welded for a drag application hehe. If i did my car again i'd probably try and get an aftermarket diff for the live axle (NISMO used to make one, dunno if you can still get em) and re-enforce the floor on the left side (apparently they will tear the floor on the side with the shorter chassis rail just like the 910s do with more power). Yeah my car has S13 front end under it, cusco comp S coilovers with camber tops etc, R33 GTS4 brakes on S13 hubs to. It's an easy fit but you have to modify the tie rod ends as the S12 ones don't fit properly and the S13 ones are to long.

hey people im about to be an owner of a silver 84 ca20e gazelle with 17" wheels, tinted windows and aftermaket stereo. i should be picking it up in a few days just deciding on the price. im in canberra as well. hope to be on here alot more once i get the car and start modding it.

oh yeah my g/f's folks live in clackline so i cruise up that hill quite often, im not the guy that works at servo though, as far as notches im looking for one at/mo for the g/f theres an s12 in the qaucka for 1900 not sure if notch or not and another s12 on gnangara road for $2500 but i think thats a hatch went to buy a notch last week for $750 in good cond except paint poor and the bastard, actually seemed like a nice guy just screwed me over and sold it elswhere to a mate damn it, will keep an eye for one though

guys i am planning a HUGE cruise from melbourne to maybe sydney or somthin, all you east cost ppl must make an effort to tag along at some stage ot meet as somewhere along the way. The cruise is with ma mates from uni, and we are going as a holiday, and my S12 will be going and i wanna get pics of a meet up with more than 10 S12's at once.........so maybe a meet in sydney sometime, the QLD boys can drive down the couple ours, the NSW boys its around the corner, and the VIC drivers, well its a 2 day cruise up, then a meet for a day, then a 2 day cruise back.........it will be awsome........if you are slightely interested, post here, but i will make a new Thread as the dates get closer.

yeah mate i will pm my email to ya, i definately wouldn't pay $2500 but would be worth looking at to see if i can knock anything of it, went to have a look yesterday but it wasn't there im still spwewing about missing out on the $750 one grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. especially when he said i had first option o wells we live and learn i should have gone out and had a look on the thursday the quakka came out

I sold my last two gazelle coupes for $600 and $500 respectively, no rego and the $500 one actually ran really well but had some rust in the doors and behind the headlights (lived near the beach). The $600 had a blown motor but i repaired all the rust before we sold it. Both are supposed to be being built as drift cars, the $600 one has a CA18DET sitting in it now but i havn't been in contact with the owner of the other car to see what he is doing with it.

I sold an auto hatch with a sunroof, registered (3 months left) minimal rust, needed new radiator, and was all black but was backyard "orange peel" paint job. $500 (made $100 profit)

Got it offered back to me, all fixed (mechanically), for the same price. but it has since sold, sorry WA ppl.

Oh what the hell I'm the the only s12 that is not close to a Capital City "Rockhampton Beef Capital of Australia"
