I have had this problem for a while now slowly checking for faults and replacing bits and pieces and ruling out things with tests
Right my problem is that the car is chewing through gas (@5km/L or @ 11miles/Gallon:wall: ) and has a slight miss.

Things I have done

Checked coils resonably ok (have noticed that when one coil is unpluged the revs drop)
checked cap, rotor, leads and plugs replaced as nessesery
checked compression (all above 150 psi with closed throtle)
checked temp sensor and wiring all ok
tested o2 sensor wiring ok
replaced faulty o2 sensor NGK type less than 2000km ago
tested air flow meter (mitchell repair) and wiring all ok
tested and cleaned PCV replaced pipe from block to PCV
replaced fuel rail, preasure regulator and fuel filter
checked injectors all ok
replaced airfilter with pod filter
tested and repaired air regulator
checked all vacume/boost lines replaced cracked and broken lines
checked and cleaned EGR

checked codes from ECU, the codes I get are 13, 14, 22, 23, 24 and 31 I can get all the codes to dissapair except one 22 (fuel pump). The fuel pump doesn't work on the system so I grounded it on the body, and the pump runs continusly when the car is running. I have tested the wiring to the ecu and get 12v at the fuel pump pin, I had this with the last engine and it ran fine.

Any ideas to what is causing my car to run that rich

the fuel pump is running on direct 12v? if so that could be your problem the fuel pump is running at max psi and riching out your motor

did you check the injectors electonically or mechanically. Just becuase they ohm out fine doesn't that they're not leaking or something.

Also are you running rich? If you have a/f guage it would be simple to tell other wise check for alot of black soot around the exhuast tip.

Do you smell fuel? I had a fuel leak that was causing the poor mileage your experiencing. My turbo was seized at the time though so it may not of affected my car's performance If your turbo is working though I am not sure if there would be other symptoms.

Is the miss at idle or driving around.

edit: i don't think the fuel pump running on batt voltage all the time is the problem.

another idea is to check the fuel pressure control solenoid I have never heard of one going bad though :dontknow:

Open the lid under the carpet in the trunk, start the engine, observe if you find any leaks from the fuel-pipes down there.. My car had massive leaks, and drank 1,2L/10km (With extreme light right foot, almost no turbo load and running at 110-120km/h at a highway.)

Also the car was running with only exhaust coils active (retard previous owner didnt bother to replace the wornout cables, he simply removed them.)

Ive checked the injectors mechanically and electonically all tests fine

I have got a A/F gauge it runs rich most of the time and the exhuast has alot of black soot.

the miss is at idle and driving, I dont notice the miss to much while driving.

there is a slight fuel smell but it's the type of smell from the exhuast that you know that the car is running rich

Ive only got a fuel preasure regulator, that Ive noticed
