Ok so ive been noticing that when i go start my vg it idles high but goes down like it should. Yet ive checked that the temp guage takes forever to show the car is warmed up. For example i let it warm up for about 5 min then i drove it about 10 miles and yet it barley moved to 1/4 of the total bar. As well it seems to be runnin a lil rich. Would i be right to say my temp sensor is busted.

..sounds like a stuck open thermostat.

What MC said... your sensor is giving your gauge a reading. Mine has done this twice with a bad thermostat. Easy fix.

And that would affect the idle and my other issues right

Quite likely. If it doesn't show it warmed up, it keeps feeding more fuel to keep the idle going.

Since it ran rich for a while should i look into changing out the o2 sensor as well to help me pass this stupid cali smog

if it isn't causing a issue I would say you don't have to change it, but if it has never been changed and it isn't a big deal for you to buy it won't hurt. I ran with a bad head temp sensor for a while and after I changed that I didn't change anything else and never had a issue with passing. If you want to make sure you are going to pass for sure run 1/3 E85 and the rest 91 oct.

this is my last slip from my over 200k VG30E in my Maxima, running 1/3 E85 (no tuning device)
