I scooped up a new car, I seen it and jumped all over it. I went a did a quick inspection and bought a non running 1985 Nissan 200SX Turbo that has been sitting in a driveway for many years on July 21st 2012. The car comes from a family of datsun/nissan owners and some of them work for Nissan :). The car started having a problem and it was just never gotten around to so it sat there waiting patently for a second chance at life. I am the second owner of this Wonderful little gem it has a clean title and I plan on restoring this car to COLLECTORS Status at this point in time. I have already fixed the major noticeable problems by dropping in a new fuel pump )The walbro 255lph that is ment for my ca18det swap on my gray car, and pulled a bunch of old aftermarket alarm wiring. The car sat for 9 years with electrical problems, I got it running smooth again. Just really needs new gas
Almost no one even knows about the car outside a handful that have seen it :P

ONE BAD PUMP Wlabro 255 installed, Replacing fuel filter tomorrow to

153,322KM :grinwink:
It has a Z31turbo and a full Stainless Steel 2.5`HKS Exhaust on the car, KYB Gas-adjusts (No clue how to adjust). A shop manual, original radio and speakers, Voice still work, BAND NEW MATCHING DOOR PANELS IN SEALED BAGS INSIDE OF SEALED BOXES (Straight into storage as it will be hard as hell to get more)!!!!!, winter tires, OEM sealed 80s Nissan air filter like the one thats in there already, a spare ecu if he can find that and my glove box and whatever else he can think of or finds that might be related to the car. Also gave me a VG30DE the need head work as water got into the "taped" intake plenum while it was outside under plastic

dude....im happy as fuck for you...but hate you so hard right now!!!!
i too am happy someone is gunna love and get this car up and going.
YO buy my engine its the same engien but with alot of new parts :P
If it was needing a motor i would. But i have no room to store it, I have too many parts in my shop area as it is and now a whole car :( I might be able to store the ecu turbo and the wiring for you while you sell it, but not the motor or trans. I am talking to a few people that might want some stuff
420-86notch on 08:32:26 PM / 26-Jul-12I went to buy the car expecting it to not be in great shape. I was going to see if it was good enough to consider it to a friend or bad enough that i would swap the interior to my gray car and track this one.... But after seeing how clean it is my plans have totally changed
i too am happy someone is gunna love and get this car up and going.
night_s12 on 08:09:21 PM / 26-Jul-12Im still trying to wrap my head around being 20 and owning 3 insured vehicles.... and i still want the jeep i was looking at for winter. Time to buy a shop :P
dude....im happy as fuck for you...but hate you so hard right now!!!!
lol or at least get a building put up to house it all
LOL I was thinking about a small hanger or storage unite
thax for the pic edit down loads a lot faster for me. is this one from the pic you put up on the" save the car thread" where there are two.
are you sure that is a LSD out of the 88 turbo the reason i ask is i have three and they all have finned back cover
It is not one off the ones the guy down the road had :( They are still there rotting away :grumpy: But Yeah, its that car i posted over there recently, I got it in Vancouver BC.. The lsd is Just what i was told, could be a LSD swapped in unite.... Gonna find out after i drop the tank and clean up some wiring. Then ill go through the suspension and brakes etc. If it isnt then oh well, Im making this car into a collector so i dont really need an lsd.
Well if u dont need the lsd I hav an idea for it xd

The car cleaned up good but i need to give it a good power buff to get the crap out of the clear coat. I tried by hand on the headlight cover last night but the 9 years of sitting outside dont want to leave easily.

Polished headlight cover

Decided to check the timing belt and found a lot of old oil or some crap building up around the distributor, so i got a new valve cover gasket, and the timing belt is cracked up pretty good so i spent most of my day trying to find one..... Nowhere carry's it here so i have the 15 dollar part on order from Edmonton Alberta

Toast alternator belt

Original rad and cap are mint

First sign of rust, on a strip for the front bumper below the grill

Still need a ton of cleaning but its getting better

beautiful keep the pics coming
I love this thing, good job on it
what a great find, i wish i could find a s12 as clean as that.. how come it doesnt have a turbo hood?
No turbo hood because it is not an 84 model.
Been doing a ton of work, but i am sick and working full time, Saturday is a car show i would like to get both of my S12s out to!
Before you go too far with it, pull that walbro out and make sure it's resting on the bottom of the housing. It will need to be cut a little.
Otherwise, you will more than likely run out of gas when you have 1/8 tank left. ;)
Thanks for the tip, I will keep that in mind when i swap it into my grey car. I just revamped the old corroded housing and installed a 190lph 5 liter mustang fuel pump, the filter JUST fits into the stock housing. I will upload pics later
Weres the car show and when sat ill bring mine out to
Its the revscene.net summer meet. Happens every year, i thought it was going to Spanish bank but i think they are going else where. 6-10pm
Bit of an update with this thing. It is undergoing alot of work. Neither this car or my gray car are on the road/ able to be driven safely for the time being.
What needs to be done:
Wiring is being traced for shorts (Bad Battery drain). Starting to do rust repair. Rear interior is stripped for re-gluing, Front interior is being stripped to check the heater core and to gain access to the dash wiring for tracing/ vents for cleaning, Blower motor needs to be cleaned out and rebuilt, AC piping and wiring needs a check, Alarm system reinstalled, power door locks hooked up, wire up stock fog lights to stock dash switch. Fix whatever wiring was tampered with from previous alarm installer, Trace rear defroster wiring and check the strips for power, Finish cleaning the years of buildup from under the hood, Reassemble the whole car, Wax the bloody hell out of it and properly treat the poor factory body kit parts.... Im sure there will be more to add to this
What Has been done.
The tank is pulled off.. i cleaned it out as it was so bad i thought i needed a new tank. Rear interior is stripped for re-gluing,Oil changed, Thermostat, Valve cover gasket, Front bearing repack, front rotors changed, front pads changed, calipers regressed, brake lines checked, Clutch master and Slave cylinder replace, clutch and brake lines flushed, rad flushed, injectors pulled tested and cleaned, spark plugs were new but i fixed the gap to FSM specs, New timing belt, New Fan/AC/Power Steering belts, Exhausted pulled off and all holes repaired, Fuel filter replaced, new tires swapped onto the rims and new valve stems installed (Free thanks to Bush Survivor aka Vince), Engine wiring pulled and cleaned, Lower intake and spark plug area cleaned of 4 inches of rat shit and random stuff (Car sat for a long time..) Pressure tested cylinders, Vac tested, Checked the turbo for shaft play, Pulled old not very well done alarm wiring, ordered new fuel tank pump seal as NOT ONE FUCKING COMPANY IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING FRASER VALLEY HAS A FUEL SAFE RUBBER O RING! Purchased a new Alarm.. nothing great just a Clifford for now as the price was right for my wallet :(. Maybe more..... cant think right now
Im sure i covered most of what i have done in my absence anyways. Im sick as fuck, missed the last week of work and it seams like i am going to miss a few more days this week. Been to the doctor and he sent me off for blood testing and started me on a different diet for now. Im trying to get a 4x4 truck in the next few months as i dont want to/ cant drive my cars for a while. Then i will have 2 4x4 trucks and 2 rwd cars :P not to bad for being 20, Next is to leave home again, I dont feel comfortable here but it is convenient as i am never here when i am working.... oh life
dude i couldnt find a rubber o ring to checkmy fuel pump but my buddy found that the one from a late 90 early 00 maxima seal is the same size. sorry its late but hope it helps
reallly? Cool ill keep that in mind when i go to swap the pump in my gray car for the ca18det build... if it ever ends.
YAY, The cleaned out Tank is installed, New seal is in place with the new pump, and its all wired up Including soldering a bad joint on the pump housing. Fired right up :) Dont you love that. Think one of my injectors is stuck again tho ...

So, after doing some research i am going to go to the junkyard and check out the injectors from both a 91 and a 93 Subaru Loyal 1.8. If they are the same barb style i may grab them and try them out as i found a parts interchange list. Still looking at other possibilities such as 300zx injectors.. But i want to stay near the oem 270cc
Been sick as a dog or battling medical crap since October. got laid off November 8th, and got sick again.. Finally starting to feel ok again so i have started working on getting the black car out of my garage. Cleaning out all the rat feces Way more then i initially thought there was.... This engine bay was a soup kitchen . I have started sanding and painting rusted parts and cleaning all of the wiring to make sure that it is all good and not chewed up. Which reminds me, I need more Windex and engine De-greaser and some Gloss black and red paint for the valve cover :grumpy:
16X7.5" rims with 5 mm spacer.... close to the strut hahaha does that count for fitment :rolleyes2:

10mm spacer in the rear

Turbo intake pipe covered in rat feces. Also take notice of the growing pile on the floor

Battery tray needs to be Cleaned and pained today

So, the car has been making me sick.... really, doctor and i were talking and he was joking around and told me to kill it with fire so that it is sterilized enough to work on :hahanot:, and take a few days off to get better. Picked up some new stuff to clean the engine bay, Mean Green and Spray Nine. here is what i have gotten done since last update.
A/C compressor looks yummy eh

After

Painting some stuff in the engine bay that was rusty looking not just black

^ idont have a ca but that looks ok
cool, i hope it is motor only has 153,322KM.. couldn't tell it was there till i cleaned of the rat feces and grime. I have most of the engine bay wiring all apart as well to check that nothing is burning or turned into rat food
i'm so glad that we don't have rats here. filthy fuckers.
VG30DETT on 06:31:48 PM / 23-Nov-12i'm so glad that we don't have rats here. filthy fuckers.Sorry, you got rats just not seeing them yet lol. They rule the planet with the roaches.
Time for a respirator me thinks
^ no shit, already asked my contractor friend for one as they get supplied to him, Picking up some gorilla gloves as well. I HATE working with gloves but these fit nice and tight feels like your own skin but are thick at the same time
off topic but wats with this stupid huge star bs^
I think that they were assigned to members who have donated to help the costs of keeping the forum running... think there was en error in the sizing tho as it is a bit overboard...... or a hint :P
So fucking clean. Trying to repaint the valve cover as it is peeled in places but that damn crap is on good for the most part..

Refreshed the spray motor in the bottom of the tank... Was seized. Forgot to take a pic of it installed

Took a drive around the complex and got a few looks cause the exhaust ends after the cat hAHAHA. Still need alot of cleaning.. Engine bay is not up to my specs yet

Whoa, looking good! What kind of paint is that? You should paint the valve cover emblem in that color too, that would look sick.

Thanks guys
So i got sick as hell again coughing up blood and crap.. Decided to fix the Blower motor since it was vibrating on setting higher then one and found this.. Full to the top with rat feces (Spilled some taking it out)

Immediately put on a mask and rubber gloves then started pulling the seats, carpet and dash so i could clean out the vents and the heater core box. and let me tell you.. STORE YOUR CAR WITH THE FRESH AIR VENT IN THE ON POSITION NOT ON RECIRCULATE!! Little bastards would have gotten inside of my car if it was not stored this way. They were chewing on stuff trying to get out.. 2 were trapped in the heater box against the AC core. The rotting bodies and the combination of poop was releasing spores that were lacerating my lungs and causing my to have bad health problems.. I got an ok from the doctor after i took some meds and a few blood tests ETC.

BODIES WERE UNDER THE LEAVES AND FEATHERS.. Smell was so bad trying to remove them

Found out that my car still has the original import inspection sticker in the window

Dear Little baby Jesus, I was a good Boy this year, so please bring me a set of centerlines for christmas.......
Damn! Now that's dedication! I would have been done way before the rat poop! More power to ya! Looking good so far though
nice way to get hanta virus - hope you're feeling better
I was talking to my doc and he said i had all the symptoms of Hanta virus HFRS... Forgot to ask if we should send a sample away for testing from my shop vac as i have not touched it since i used it
Anyways. The car is running Very good still has a Very very slight miss that only i seem to feel. Going to advance the timing a bit to see if that help. I got up to the mountains as an after meet cruise with some local guys. Snowing like mad, Bumper high snow where it was untouched :yay!:. The accord got stuck in the first ten seconds when he hit the snow bank. The Teg and accord just stayed by the road where it had been plowed hours before, but me and the Evo went all out.

Not my photos. Tacoyaki

And another from Kakucaekz
kakucaekz;8114272Looks so happy!
Wow, Hanta has a 30-50% fatality rate. If I were you I would throw away the shopvac, since the motor may continue to aerosol the virus particles into your environment. Not a filter out there that will prevent that. Rodent droppings/dried urine are the big reservoir for Hanta. When you encounter any, spray down with a dilute bleach solution (1 tablespoon/gal water) and NEVER use a vac to clean. Mask, gloves and wipe up the stuff. Glad you are on the mend and not part of that 30-50%. I would also consider removing your dash and cleaning all ducts with the bleach solution. You should have good immunity now, but those that ride with you do not.
You doc should be able to have a blood sample run for a hanta virus titer. If you had it and recovered, your titer will be through the roof now.
Dash was already out, cleaned and reinstalled along with all the wiring and the entire vent system. I even did the carpets, roof liners and the seats with cleaners then steam cleaned it all. Doc said i did more then required :)

And yeah, i dont plan on using the vac again
Sounds like it's good to go. Have him run a titer for the virus.
Sounds good, im on my way out to get some stuff so ill see if he is still open
