S12 STOCK TRANNY ON RB BELL HOUSING??????

JUST A QUESTION GUYS IM DOING MY RB SWAP TOMORROW AND I WAS WONDERING ANYBODY EVER TRY USING A CA20E TRANNY ON ANY TYPE OF RB BELLHOUSING? RB20DET BELL HOUSING INTERCHANGES WITH THE KA24DE AND I THINK I HAVE READ THAT SOME PEOPLE MATE THE KA HOUSING WITH CA20E TRANNY? IM NOT TRYING TO BE CHEAP OR NONE OF THAT JUST CURIOUS, ANYBODY KNOW?

1: CA20E TRANNY- SR HOUSING -BEEN DONE
2:RB20DET HOUSING- KA24DE TRANNY -BEEN DONE
3: RB20DET HOUSING CA20E TRANNY?????? POSSIBLE?

CA20E five speed or automatic trans? What year S12 is it from? There isn't one trans for all S12's, there are four total (two automatic versions, two manual versions).

FIVE SPEED MANUAL OUT OF AN 1988 MK2 HATCH WITH THE CA20E

Mk2 1987-88 tranny are the same C tranny as the sr, ca18det and ka tranny, also is the same as the rb20det stock tranny, it is just a little shorter than all those transmission, so yeah, the rb bellhousing will bolt just fine
