So I broke down on the freeway yesterday.I check to see if I'm gettin fuel an I'm not so I check the fuses and there fine,so I went and got my spare fuel pump and put it in, still no fuel so I go buy a new relay for the fuel pump still no fuel. At this point I'm lost thinking now maybe my ecu is fried somewere and it's not gettin power...so I could use some input it's my only car I need to fix it soon...and wat wire comin from the ecu is the power for the fuel pump so I can check it for power.....any input is appreciated

You can probably bypass the ECU for fuel pump power. Run power from the battery to the pump with either a toggle switch or you could probably find a way to tap into your ignition wire.

Update: I changed the ecu and I was pumping fuel so I button everything up and go to start it and it won't start,I take the fuel line off and now the fuel pump isn't turning on again...so  now I'm wondering if I have a short somewere and I wiggled a wire or something anyone havve any ideas or wannacome fix it for me??? Lol

power is from the fuse, to the relay, to the pump,

power is switched on when the relay control side is grounded by the ecu, through the white wire off that 4 pin fuel pump connector. iirc. so a bad ecu could be the issue.

But....I switched em out and only worked for a short time and now no worky....

You're not connecting the fuel pump directly to the ecu right? it goes thru a relay correct?

If necessary you can bypass the ECU's control of the fuel pump and get it to run regardless, see if there are other issues.  Check grounds on the engine, chassis, and battery.  If there is a ground for the fuel pump relay (is it factory or did you add one?) check that as well.  Factory fuel pump or Walbro?

Well I've switched back and forth between my stock pump and an s13 pump..yes there's a stock relay I replaced it with a new one...I shall start checking grounds I guess

Just had this same problem a month or two back. My ecu got water in it because the window was leaky. I was getting continuity to the ecu all the way to the pin, which if i remeber correctly was a ground. I just went ahead and ran it to a switch and did the emergency cutout that way.

But then again i am 20e

ummm completely his fault i know nothing about wiring but i know it shouldnt look the way it does and the ecu should never be under the hood just exposing it to the weather...he shut down his shop right after he did my s12 i think it was because i spread the word about his work to evereyone i knew and i told him i would do that if he wouldnt correct his shitty work i already payed for.....he never did
