what size tire is a good stretch on wheels?
depend on the width of the rims... 15x?
thats the thing man i dont know anything about those wheels
Grab a Measuring tape? Read the Sticker on the rim? or they might be cast in... but the specs should be on them somewhere
185/55's on a 15x10 wheel.

If you can mount that, sir, you are a better man than I.
alright man ill be sure to check tomorrow. and when i put on the tires how many pounds of pressure do i put is it the same 35? i have heard different things from different people.
35 will do,
but if your trying to stretch the shit out of a tire your gonna have to use more to set the bead. and/or a bead setter. those warnings on the tires that say "never exceed 40psi when setting a bead" are lies.
ps. anybody seen my left hand?
awsome dude thanks. i just want a descent good looking stretch my man thanks dude
I used to run about 50psi on a 42psi tires when i had crazy stretch...
i used the tube trick, it works good.
et us that width so we can help you.
a 205 on a 10" wide wheel is a decent stretch. But it's only a 205 regardless.
Most wheels are 7 or even 6 inches wide, if your wheels are 7" wide you can't really stretch. The smallest you can go is 195 without looking like a bicycle wheel edge.
If you want a noticable stretch but not a razor-thin footprint, you're gonna need a 10" wide wheel.
205 on a 10in wheel is quite a lot of stretch my friends...
Just for reference
Henry's longchamps as was in the Super Street article are 16x10 in the rear with a 205, and the fenders are NOT pulled, just the inside lip flattened all the way.
Anyways, stretching is for looks most of the time, see my tagline quote Wink

Okay guys I checked the with of my wheels it's 15x7.3 thats what it said on the hunter
Yeah the least you can go is a 195 without looking lame. Otherwise you'll just end up with a wheel that looks like a ball with just a thin strip for a contact patch. No bueno.
A 195/55-15 would be fine, will have a tiny bit of stretch. 7.5" isn't wide tho. And usually you stretch on a wide wheel.

7.3 wtf? lol
I assume he meant 7.5". Which is still an oddball size.
i would assume they are 7s...
7.3 inches is about 185mm, so I'm guessing that might be his tire's section width. It might be a 6 inch wheel.
from edge to edge it was 7.5 sorry. its all good i just wanted to know if i could do a stretch with these rims. if not ill get different ones. thanks guys

as others stated, you could stretch, but at a 195~205 tire it still wont be much of a stretch (if its that dope euro tooner look you are going for)

inside edge or outside edge? your supposed to measure from inside edge to edge. Money that they are 7 inches wide.

My regulator and pump are set at a constant 160 PSI main pressure to my tire changer. I leave the valve stem out and pummel it with that until the beads set, let it drain again, put in stem, pump up.
