Do you have AAA? I once took what I needed off a fucked car I had and then put it on a random street via AAA and let it sit there for about a month. They eventually towed it (free) and I guess auctioned it (no skin off my back).

Or just do it infront of your house, get what you need, then call a donation place. They'll take it even if it doesn't roll they will find a way.

Insurance company adding money for aftermarket parts? Will never happen unless the car was properly appraised with the parts installed. Unless you mentioned to them it was modified when you started the policy on it, count your blessings that they're giving you 2800.

Pull the coils and sell them on nico/zilvia. Don't even fuck around with trying to get them to make the value higher, won't happen.
Insurers insure the cars value as it's appraised. Without an appraisal the car is stock to them, and will not be able to go higher.  Sometimes they'll nab ya and give you less, because the value of the car was higher, and now you owe them money that you never paid on your monthly bill, and can get slammed for insurance fraud. It's qualified under "soft" fraud.

Ask me how I know

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insurance_fraud#Hard_vs._soft_fraud

Accept the 2800. buy back car for 300, sell off dash, seats, transmission and engine. make more than 300 back, pull cat converter, sell that, scrap car. Easy 3k
There's a lot more that you can do, and that doesn't account for the coils for a reason Wink

your trippin jay. the guy who was at fault hass allstate and thats who im dealin with. not my shit company to stay legal with. they WILL cover that. and im gettin a check cut tomorrow for the tow to my house for 200 bucks. i know my way through the process and have never taken less than what a car and its mods are worth... cuz i dont fuck around and i know my shit.

Not trippin. Here was what happened to me, with Allstate, in a similar situation to you.

I had USAA
Guy with Isuzu had Allstate

Isuzu blows stop sign, blasts me
Talk to Allstate, Allstate rep inspects car, Allstate notifies my insurance company that vehicle was modified (Dodge Shadow ES turbo with wheels and suspension work, nothing engine related)
USAA sends rep
Rep appraises car
Rep notifies me of soft insurance fraud, and to pay the higher premium or face prosecution
Allstate gives USAA money
USAA keeps half, sends me 1400 bucks
Buy car back for 200
Drop USAA

From that moment, I have known to get my cars appraised if I modify them, and to have my insurance company (Now Progressive), know exactly what my cars are worth.
Just keep your nose clean, glad your okay, and am looking forward to seeing the outcome

Oh, and edit. Because of this situation, I still owe USAA 400 or some odd dollars now. 6 years or so later
Second edit: You've had people hit you more often than me. So far that was my only accident. So I will concede that your a bit more versed than myself, and in retrospect should've never told them I was covered by USAA. But USAA in this case was my defense, and my undoing. It sucked

ok, my insurance isnt full coverage, and allstate has taken all blame for this. this lady told me personally that they have people specifically for this and they will contact me in two days to give me a new quote and see if i want to buy it back. she also told me it would be higher as long as i provided documentation (which i have) of when i bought them(within last year is covered by them) and they cost 1345 so as long as i can most of that back ill be fine.
