Before i decide what route i want to take with my new car, I might need a little help. Im already in the process of getting a turbo motor for my 85. And so, i was wondering can you get real good power out of an all motor sr20? Or would it be easier to get a turbo on that one to??

Sr20de
First off, be aware that you need aAn SR20DE from a RWD vehicle, because the FWD versions have everything on the wrong side (where your firewall would be). RWD versions are hard to find.
That said, there's a guy on here with one, and he boolted a turbo on it. Ran fine for awhile then blew up. His name's Matt, and I'm sure he'll chime in with specifics.

It didn't blow up.
It shot itself in the foot.
Like a wounded soldier it will be pushed harder

Yea, just a series of unfortunate events, in an otherwise perfectly healthy motor. Not like I spun a bearing, those look brand new, as do the other 3 pistons.
Anywho... S14 SR20DE's make as much power as a KA24DE, usually can be had for around the same price, though I have noticed that the price of them has gone up in the past few years.
Basic bolt-ons can get around 180BHP, that's about it.
Otherwise the S13 SR20DE isn't any better than the usual US SR20DE that the Sentras have (other than it's RWD).
S15 AUTECH SR20DEs are the baddest of them all, 200BHP, VERY rare.
For a SR20DE that you are thinking of turboing later, I would try to get an S13, it's lower compression and easier to deal with, and any tune that the Sentra boys use, you can too. S14 SR20DEs have 10:1 compression, while it can be done (since it's what I ran), it's a bit of a pain if you don't know what you're doing.
