Need Help And Pics Of Det Harness.

Hey.  I now have the majority of an engine swap for my 200 now. Its a ca18det swap from a 180sx s13.

 But the engine was in an s14. so the guy cut off the white plug near the ecu, all the wires are separated, he has an hks fuel cut defencer and a safc2 installed so the wires by the ecu are a bit scrambled.  I'd like to re attach everything back to stock.   how many other plugs are near the ecu?  just the one right?  If so does anyone have some pictures of that plug?  maby a close up with colors.

 I will post pics as soon as I can, but I dont live near my garage.     Tyler.

note...  these loose wires are coming off from inbetween the ecu plug and the rest of the harness.  Not out from the opposite end of the ecu plug like the sr20 harness.

Don't have a picture but the wires from the white plug that need to be wired are:

1. blue with black stripe = temp signal - goes to s12 purple and white wire for temp guage signal.

2. Orange wire = goes to ignition on wire, (thick black and white wire at ignition switch)

3. Black wire = goes to earth (obviously this will be the hardest to find being plain black and all)

Get a pin out diagram for the ca18det s13,should help you to trace to trace them back from the ECU large blue plug. ca18det wshop manuals can be found on the net for download.

This helps it shows the pinouts and explains some of th wires that match the numbers. pinout #43 = orange signal wire to igntion on wire.
After checking the daigram it looks like you don't have to worry about the black wire. So finding and hooking up the orange wire using the pinout diagram should be enough to get the car started.

So it looks like the signal for the temp guage comes direct from the sender at the motor, not via the ECU. From what I can figure there are 2 temp sensors, one for the ECU, and one for the guage. For the one for the guage the wire to the guage is Blue with a Black stripe. You could find the sensor and run a wire of this direct to your guage/instrument panel.

(the engine temperature sensor specifically for the ECU ONLY, has the following wiring colors; light blue with an orange stripe and a black wire, DON"T TOUCH THIS SENSOR wiring.
