k after summit point i noticed i started getting sputtering at 1/4 throttle while cruising, once i start boosting etc. the sputtering stops and the car hauls ass like normal.
well, then it got worse, now its doing it at idle. and it seems to get worse. in neutral, will almost kill the car. but if i put it in gear and spool up it shall go away....
i pulled my plugs, cyinder 1 is black, 2 3 and 4 is white.
possibilty of a stuck open injecter? seems to make sense. its robbing fuel from my other injcters at idle and low throttle. but when i dump the throttle there all open anyways spewing fuel for the spark as i boost
i have a z32 twin turbo injecter, brand new. is that the same? can i try it?
my timing is dead on, set with a timing gun.
i dont think 3 of my plugs would just fuck up, or 3 of my inejcters would just spray lean, or 3 of my coilpacks fail sorta. all at the same time..

Misfire Issue Sr20 Help
I had a similar issue last week.....
if I mashed through the gears there was no issues....but at 2500-3500 rpm in normal cruising speed (3rd/4th gear etc) I was getting this sputter/hesitation....then it started doing it at idle.....my idle would drop to 500rpm and almost sound like it was about to stall out....
I had to ghetto rig my o2 sensor during the swap (the wires from the harness to the connector were fucked).....anyways I thought this could be the problem now so I stripped all the wires and just female clipped them to the o2 sensor connector and made sure all the connections were good...and bingo no more hesitation!
so maybe your o2 sensor is taking a shit?? (my shitty narrowband af gauge was going whacko too when all this was going down)
Is it powder black, or wet black? If it's wet black, check the o-rings on that injector, it's usually a leaking lower o-ring.
If it's powder black, then it might have just misfired and fouled and I would replace/clean it and keep an eye on it.
just powder black
but what about the white plugs?
David Bjust powder black
but what about the white plugs?
White is normal. If there's white ash on it, that's caused by fuel additives
I'd try cleaning the plug or replacing it, see if it happens again. If it does, I would maybe check the injector o-rings anyway, they might just be leaking a little.

if you go try cleaning it, use a proper/mapp/acetlyne torch. just pass the flame past the plug (holding the plug either in a vice, or vice-grips, so as not to burn your hands!) once or twice. you want the ground of the plug to get red. not really red, but just so its visible. make sure you get the electrode, and the ceramic as well.
you may think its crazy, but i do it all the time at the shop, and it works DAMN good. just dont melt anything! plus you dont want to use any abrasive paper as the sand can flake off, and turn to glass on the electrode, causing a misfire. wire brush is ok, but very lightly (especially on platinum/iridium).

^Also works for 02 sensors
I've been having similar problems, just I'm not running boost. Of all the tune up stuff I've done to my car, I've yet to replace the o2 sensor. And now having a feeling that it maybe be part of the issues. Couldn't hurt anyways.
Whens the last time you changed yours out? I've had the car a little more than a year and haven't changed mine, so who's knows how old it is. Think that's gonna be the next thing I do. Best of luck man.
changed the plugs and injecter one with a z32 twin turbo. and its fine now
