I want to pick you guys brains, I just bought an SR20det S-13 red top my plan was to get a Garret t28 ball baring turbo so it would spool fast I am building the car for autocross and I want to keep it on the mild side so it is reliable. A guy that I know through someone else is selling a "new" t3/t4 hybrid turbo and a custom exhaust manifold for an SR20 he just bought a SR20 swapped 240sx the seller had this turbo that he hadn't put on the car so I really don't know what I would be buying or if this would even be a good way to spend money I have been told I could get it cheap but if its not the right turbo it's not worth it. So what do you think?

Turbo Question
Forget that one the lag will be absolutely terrible. Your T28BB idea is good.
no
for auto x stick with the stock t25g and boost 12psi to gain extra power without losing torque. cam gears can give you more torque if u want it but the sr is pretty good as is. stock cast manifold and the best flowing turbo back exhaust u can do. open dump is best but not legal. Full length 3 inch system would be the best street legal option.
nice simple reliable
auto x isnt about power. depending on what class u wanna run and how much u wanna mod the car u can strip out different amounts of weight from it. Apart from that its suspension and tires. Tires tires tires. If in a street tire class u def want the widest Falken Azenis the class allows. Or if ur loaded with cash there are more expensive tires that offer more grip and are still class legal.
oh and one more thing...
auto x is gay! lololol. drift is for fun and grip is for adrenaline. auto x is just boring
