I do not know if the mounting is possible for our S12.

Alright so my clutch just blew, like BOOM! Anyways I was going over clutches, I wanted to get a Spec stage 2-3 but the price is 350 and up plus shipping. And this is the pricing all around the boards (act, exedy, dxd and illegal garage). My last Clutch was a XXTTTTTTDDDDD stage 3 puck, It was a great buy imo and lasted a good while. I was about to get the exedy OEM because I know it's a good clutch, but then I saw it, F1 racing! Well I was hoping to see if anyone here has used them before, but I have heard nothing but BAD things about them. Yet I still might give it a go since it is cheaper and I did like my old xtd, Plus I love getting stuff like this and it end up being a great budget part cause if it breaks, mehhh it was cheap enough for it not to hurt to bad and there is a warranty lol.  So anyone on here use them before?

Also main reason I will probably end up getting this, is because I need my car to move again (I live in a flood zone lol) and this will do that job at the very least lol.

yes, the big problem is to read the Japanese

Seb, You do not need the specific S12 LSD. You can use the S13/S14 aftermarket LSD made for the S13/S14 with open differential(no factory LSD). Make sure the LSD accepts the 29 spline count input shaft and that both input shafts(not axles) are the same length.

My roommate's wife is Japanese.. just moved here a couple years ago.. maybe I'll get her to translate for you guys if there is interest. I won't be back at home for a couple weeks but its a possibility.

Yes, I have already heard of this assembly on the forum, but there are critics who say that this is not bolt-on

Type RS operates low with the initial! Initial torque of type RS approximately 50%~70% (this corporation ratio) with is low held down in comparison with the type which uses the former cone plate. LSD application for all 89-98 240SX with factory open diff (Non-Viscous) axle flanges. For the Carbonetics choose open diff.

Then you're going to need these spacers if you have the 10mm ring gear. 12mm OD, 10MM ID, 12MM length. Buy 10 of these.

Remember, this is for the R200 ONLY!

Your axle's input shafts should look like the ones RIGHT to fit. Obviously these are for the S13/S14 but the spline count and size are the same as the S12 R200.

If you goto http://forums.hybridz.org/ and search all of their differential information, you will need to find the correct differential for your factory axles. I have read quite a bit and I know it will fit. Just find out if your differential uses the 10mm or 12mm ring gear bolts.

ok, you have used this mount on your S12? you have pictures?
I have a LSD S14a, but apparently it is different from S13/S14

I showed this thread to a friend and he said the exact same thing word for word damn near lol
mod_mastazNov 30, 2009, 2:54 pm · #16

Seb, I have not mounted this in my car. The LSD you have for the S14a is the VLSD, which WILL NOT work. It has a different spline count and the left and right input shaft lengths are unequal, which is why it does not work with your S12 axles.

seb.racingDec 1, 2009, 2:56 pm · #17

hi, ok thank you for the information,

I go to exchange my vlsd of S14a with a model S13,

another question: the differential origin S13 are vlsd from the service manual

mod_mastazDec 2, 2009, 5:29 am · #18

You need to buy an aftermarket LSD for S13/s14 without factory VLSD to fit into the S12 R200. The factory S13/S14 LSD will not fit/work with the S12 differential easily. An aftermarket LSD for the S13/S14 is the easiest solution, although not the cheapest.

I'll finish my body of S12, I see if money is present for LSD

Haha ok. Just let me know when the time comes and I'll help you out. I'm saving up for a bunch for car parts also. An LSD will come in a few months for me.

ok, there is no problem

January 2010, I live in a new house with a large garage, it will be great to repair the S12
gerrybgDec 6, 2009, 9:26 am · #22

I have compared s13, s14, R32 etc etc input shafts physically. The input shafts to suit an OPEN (NOT VLSD)  S13 R200 diff and FIRST model of s14 with OPEN R200, (read first model only) are the same size and spline count as the s12.

The s14 SERIES II shafts are to big. And shafts for skylines, Z32 etc etc are also to big.

Any aftermarket mechanical LSD to replace the an s13 or series I s14 that originally had an OPEN type diff, will fit an s12 R200 case and the s12 R200 drive shafts will work with them.

Someone must try one!

mod_mastazDec 7, 2009, 3:20 am · #24

It's been done all over HybridZ. Those guys buy S12 diffs for the 4.11 gear ratio and buy LSDs for it. You don't need pictures of it physically installed for it to work. I most definitely agree with Gerrybg, because I have also compared open input shafts from the S13/S14 to the S12 R200 ones.
