Cigarette Lighter Output: 12v Dc Or 6v Dc?

I don't want to fuck something up if I plug it in. Does anyone know the specs on our lighter sockets? It's my '87 SE if that matters at all. Thanks.

12 volts

Yeah it's 12 volts... any lighter-powered device will work with it.
