as the title says. Ive got a HKS 40mm external wastegate, Im getting a MBC for christmas.
I really dont want to screw this up, but I think I just hook it the same as a stock wastegate, just hooking to the top port it self instead of the actuator.
Mbc Hook-up To External Wastegate
Should be the same as it would be for an internal gate... it sits in-line, right off of the wastegate line. Well, not so close for heat reasons, but you get the idea. What kind of MBC are you getting? The BEST, most accurate ones use a ball and spring setup. The spring and diaphragm and the needle valve ones aren't so good.
havent decided yet, still researching. I am leaning toward a HKS, but my wallet is leaning to the cheapo Ebay one for now. Im also looking maybe to just get a 10lb spring and just be done with it.
I'm pretty sick today but if you can wait a few days, I'll have some suggestions for an MBC for you that won't break your wallet.
Iggy made me a homemade and it works well you should look into that as well...
doesnt Keith sell them for $12?

Yeah I thought so too...
For my Talon i just put a little needle valve with fittins to slip on the hose...
Just a note, when u first put it on, start with it FULLY OPEN, and then very little by little, close it off... basically it just restricts the amount of pressure getting through to the waste gate... a T fitting after it with a gauge on it isnt a bad thing for setting it up either... safer...
I got one for like 5$ at a hardware store or something.. or prolly crap tire...
Needle valves FTL... a ball and spring works MUCH better.
Ball and spring will still give spikes though, mine spikes +1PSI, but I've seen worse.
